Any idea how to re-attach the grabber strip on a Quantum HH LTO-2 drive?

I've got a couple these Certance/Quantum/Dell half-height LTO-2 drives. Recently, the strip (mylar?) that terminates in the grabber has become undone--it looks as if some adhesive has dried out. Anyone know how to re-attach it?

Chuck,
My two choices would be Plybond or Silicone RTV. Plybond might not stick to the Mylar but RTV will,
as I use RTV to hold wide Nylon Wire Ties to the bottom of R/C Flying Wings. It stays on when
landing on Asphalt. We also used Silicone RTV to hold placards and Labels on machines at work.
About the only way to get them off is break them off, then use a razor blade to clean the machine frame.

I'm trying to figure out where the other end of the strip is attached. I'd probably use good old Barge contact cement when I know. Service manuals for the drive seem to be non-existent.
