Last 'weekend' I had to get a PET scan done so I stopped first to visit w/ the older brother...
and left BOTH my USB sticks at his place.
... and the smaller of the two is where ALL my memory-board work has/is been/being done.
SO...
I have to wait for him to send them to me...
I have made some progress on reading the BIOS and intend to attempt a drive-table modification for 'reasonably-sized' drives...
Will see how THAT goes!
Edit:
Because of the lack of original-type modems for these machines and the eventual desire to use a mouse on it, I have begun designing a modem-port-2-PS/2 mouse board. The modem port is a TTL-level serial and, as I understand it, I should be able to do a more-or-less direct connect of a PS/2 mouse to this configuration. The mouse driver would not know (I think) or care about anything but the port it is on... which in this case would be COM2 (or COM1)...
That will keep the DB-9 serial port open for external (higher-capacity) modems/devices...
Design of this board has also already begun and must wait for the sticks to be returned...
