For the past few weeks I've been enjoying playing the PC port of Final Fantasy VIII on an old dell laptop using a USB controller. I spend evenings on the couch with my wife these days and most PC games aren't easy for me to play on a laptop.
So that had me thinking. I know there were a ton of games from the Playstation1/2 era that aped the Final Fantasy format: party of characters, turn-based combat, etc. And the low resolution of games from that era make them easy to play while leaning back.
The only ones I know of off hand that heavily copied the FF format are Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger. I think Legend of Dragoon has similar but fans have threatened to lynch me for comparing the two. What are some other ones I can get on deck for when I run out of fantasies final?
