So I got the 387SX Co-Processor in from the shop in France on e-bay and well...now we have a baseline for Links web browser in DOS
- 386 with a 387 (SX or DX), or a 486DX class CPU
- 4MB of RAM (8MB Reccommended, 10 or 16MB even better)
- VGA (SVGA Reccommended for graphics, VGA is SLOOOOOW on a 386)
- Packet Driver and an Ethernet Card
- mTCP for getting the underpinnings working
- 7MB of Hard Disk Space
Once you meet all these, it's actually, even on a 386SX, pretty screamin' in text mode.
