Floppy drive under Windows 95

My Pentium 75 rig runs on the original RTM version of Windows 95 quite happily still. What sometimes perplexes me is that the A:\ drive is shown under Windows as a 5 1/4 drive while it is in fact a 3 1/2 drive. Was this something generic in Windows 95 or has m installation just identified the floppy drive incorrectly?

What does the BIOS show for that drive?

Great hint Tradde, I just checked and the bios was showing 5.25" drive. I totally forgot to change it to 3.5" when I reconfigured the bios after it reverted to default settings recently after replacing the RTC battery...
