Hi Guys,
I continue to thin the herd. Here are all the items I now have ready to be given away free to anyone who can use them. There are many more items, mostly motherboards, video cards, IDE controllers and CPUs which I also want to give away but have not yet put aside.

I am continuing to work on identifying more items. By the time you reply I may well have decided on even more items to give away.

I would need you to pick these items up in person here in Bloomfield, NJ. I am home most of the time so arranging a time should be fairly easy. Don't be shy...take what you can use. Heck, take anything you think you may use!

Empty cases (need micro ATX boards):
Dell Dimension
eMachine (2)

Complete working PCs:
Gateway case with Compaq M333 motherboard
Gateway P2 350
A-Open case (P2-350, no sound board)
(3) Mini-Towers (all have Epox P2 333 boards but no sound card)

CRT Monitors (no flat panels):
(3) Intergraph 21" (very heavy)
(2) Hitachi 21" (very heavy)
Gateway 17"
Viewsonic 17"
Compaq 17"
Tatung 14" (black and white)

CPUs (there are lots more):
Pulled 486 chips
387-DX 25
P8088
(2) Pentium II 266

Just drop me a PM and we'll figure out a time when you can pick up anything you'd like.

Thanks...Joe

Once the warmer weather gets here and I can comfortably take boxes out of the garage, I may be able to ship smaller stuff like video cards, IDE cards, chips, etc. so keep in contact with me, especially if I don't get a lot of local responses. While shipping can be a pain for me, I want as much of this stuff to get to people who can use it as possible.

This is going to be an ongoing project throughout the spring and summer.

Joe

I'm interested in the cpus if nobody claims them, but sadly I am not local. I so take that Tatung monitor if I was...

Maybe you guys who are not local know someone here who would be willing to gather up the stuff for you and maybe ship it. Plus, with VCF East this weekend in Wall NJ maybe someone would decide the extra trip up the Parkway is worth it.

Hi I'm nearby in NJ, i would love to pick up some stuff (actually looking for a slot 1 motherboard and always odds & ends to complete systems). For some reason i can't message you, can you message me? Email?

Thanks!

Please don't post emails in the public forum, it just gets you on the radar of every spammer out there. Also the "some reason" is explained here.

Spam doesn't matter. But thanks for the link. I'll go do some posting when i have the time

Hi Guys,
Well some of the stuff is gone but there is a lot more. While I have lots of free items, I also have some items I would like to sell for a few dollars. These would include lots of used/untested 30 and 72 pin SIMM chips as well as some new unused Pentium 233 chips. If you are interested in the stuff I want to sell drop me a PM because I haven't decided on price or on exactly how many of everything I have.

I also have vintage IBM compilers in their original hard boxes in great shape with the mint or near mint manuals. I have Cobol, Basic, Fortran and Pascal. They come on either 3.5" or 5.25" disks. I am asking $25 each and may be able to mail them. If interested, send me a PM.

If the motherboards listed below had a soldered in battery it has been removed. Most of the motherboards were pulled from machines in a company so I have no idea if they work.

Here is the free stuff available:

Empty cases - These use micro ATX boards and the PS should be replaced:
Dell Dimension
eMachine (2)

Complete working PCs:
Gateway case with Compaq M333 motherboard
Gateway Intel P3 1GHz (no sound card)
A-Open case (P2-350, no sound board)
Mini-Tower (Epox P2 333 boards but no sound card)

CRT Monitors (no flat panels):
(3) Intergraph 21" (very heavy)
(2) Hitachi 21" (very heavy)
(2) Compaq 17"
Gateway 17"
Viewsonic 17"

CPUs (there are lots more):
Pentium
486 chips
(1) 387-DX 25
(1) P8088

Video Cards: From the 486 through PII era
Note: These got hit with flood water from Ida and have not been tested.
Many ATI cards PCI and ISA
Many Matrox PCI cards

Motherboards with CPU:
Many Epox Pentium boards
Many Micronics Pentium and 486 boards
(2) AMD 486-100
Asus 440BX/440ZX (not working)
Cyrix 586
386SX

Just drop me a PM and we'll figure out a time when you can pick up anything you'd like.

I want to add two more give away pieces:

Dell USB scanner model A920 (do not know if it works)
HP Deskjet F4280

The HP printer works but it's drivers cause an odd issue. I found out that once the drivers are installed, I can no longer BOLD anything in Microsoft Excel (XP version). Weird I know, but true.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for those who have come and helped me thin the herd. If no one asks me for the three empty ATX cases (micro motherboards) I will be taking them to recycling this weekend.

I am going to start listing some items for which I would like to get a few bucks. These would be IBM compilers, 30 and 72 pin memory chips, empty AT cases (with PS which I bought new and barely used) and other stuff as I continue to shed equipment.

Thanks...Joe

Im interested in the 586 cpu and motherboard, and maybe the 386sx as well, If you are willing to ship again. And any Isa video cards, as well as PCI if ati mach/rage series. :)

I had visitors the last couple days and I think the 586 board is gone. I am keeping any 386 boards I have (I think there are only two of them). There are two boxes of video cards - one for ATI and one for Matrox. Those still have quite a few cards left in both ISA and PCI. I need to update the inventory and then post a fresh list of what is left.

Bear in mind all those video cards got wet when Ida flooded the garage for a few minutes. I have to check with the guys who took some of the cards to see if they worked or not. The water which got in the garage seemed to be very clean and the cards appear to be in perfect condition.

As to shipping, I really wanted to avoid it because I simply do not have the time to wrap motherboards or expansion cards for shipping. The cards and many moherboards are simply in boxes with no bubble wrap or anything separating them. Right now I am very busy working on the house as I had to put off a lot of maintenance for several years while I cared for my parents. So unless something changes I just do not have the time or energy to ship. Sorry.

Joe

Last call guys. I really need to take some of these items to recycling this weekend if no one wants them. Here is the list of items which are still left for free but may be gone by Saturday.

HP Deskjet F4280 (not printing, needs to be cleaned)

Gateway case with Compaq M333 motherboard

CRT Monitors (no flat panels):
Intergraph 21" (very heavy)

Compaq 17"

Send me a PM if interested. Thanks...Joe

Does the dell case have the drive rails and drive cage for hdds? I seemed to have lost the floppy/hard drive cage for my dimension p166.
