Got this out of my old house, haven’t booted it yet, but as I recall I had an AMD in it, with a fan that sounded like a jet engine. And, had a odd “feature” of the CPU making audiable noise when running prime 95 stress test. I also recall this has at least dual if not triple boot. I remember dos was one, probably windows 3 and windows NT are the others.

its a "Pentium 90" and you had an AMD chip in it? I seriously doubt that. I remember the Gateway 2000 line very well as they were what we had at my job.. All Intel only. when they changed to just gateway and were bought by Acer who knows that was years later.

Ok, no memory in it… does it use EDO 60ns non parity ram? I saw from the ite below that is what a P5-100 used.

I would recommend checking to see which specific motherboard is in there. That was a time of changing standards and confirming what memory will be needed. Some of the Gateway Pentium motherboards will not take EDO memory.

https://web.archive.org/web/2000081...t/techdocs/references/motherboard/index.shtml will point towards the large number of Pentium boards used by Gateway with information including supported memory on each.

Yeah that looks about right. I remember them using that same board up to and including the pentium 133

SMD and through hole capacitors.. super. And a Dallas chip.
