I recently came across a beautifully working Vivitron screen, model CPD-15F23.
That is, it shows a beautiful picture and some of the adjustment buttons work on the front panel. However, the picture height and width adjustment buttons do not. I can make the picture taller and wider, but not shorter and thinner. The image is currently out of the bounds of the available screen size.
The buttons do press and sound normal, but could they still need to be cleaned? Or, do they just need to be repaired or replaced?
As an alternative, I was wondering if anyone here knows of another way to shrink the screen size, like if there are any other controls inside the monitor. I'd really rather not remove the Trinitron tube from the front bezel to access the back of the button panel unless I absolutely have to.
