Green 753 battery project.

Unknown. I have the one below, hooked it up to 12v6a and 12v12a benchtop power supply, seems to work, but no welding.... instructions are next to useless and don't even mention the foot switch interface other then "here it is..." so need to rig up something to test that therory on...

Bought new spot welder n looking for sources of batteries..... the welder i bought is junk.... powers up, no welding, even with 100A battery connected to it.... Unreal.....

Well...... tried upto 100A on my spot welder, pretty sure its just crap..... New one supposed to be here today.

My battery had 4/3A cells in it, you should be able to order them from Tenergy or whoever you prefer.

That's what a place near me said, they only had batts avail in like $95 each for multiple batteries, and each pack would need 2 packs of those cells..... without rebuilding it....

Not at the moment, had to stop and get all details finished for my wedding, Yesterday actually, but going to finish my desk project, adding a storare area on top, total mess, but going to start working in stuff here soon. Going to try n finish the desk this week since am on vacation.

Ok, update, I have one of the two batteries apart, quite a bit of corrosion inside, working on getting rid of it, slowly coming off but need stiff bristle brush to help get rid of it all. The circuit inside looks simple enough, so will get it diagrammed to try and reproduce it. First attempt at 3d model of the case using Tinker Cad has failed, then again, I am not an expert in that software, so will try again, as well as using Google Sketch Up, the only issue I have with that software, is getting it exported. Usually have to repair them with an online tool. Also I have a source for batteries, Verified the size, I assume the voltage, and capacity are the same, no markings on old batts to go from, but if the cells are all in series, then the capacity of the ones I found are 3800 mAh vs the packs marked 3000 mAh, so that's a little more then original.

3D printing a replacement case can be a challenge. I reverse engineered the PowerBook 145B battery pack and made a replica, it took many revisions to get one that worked. The features on some parts of the pack were so fine though that my FDM printer really struggled to make a usable part.

I used an ancient copy of 3DS Max to make my model (because that's what I learned to model on.) Blender would be more appropriate these days, and it's free.

No doubt I'll run into that, hope not, but only one way to find out.... as for designing, will just need to do 1 small section at a time using alot of individual parts to make 1 big 1, or Sketch up, can just keep drawing and adding onto it

Is there a need in this case to fabricate a new case rather than reusing the original? Or are you talking about completely remanufacturing new batteries. Is that why you're attempting to reverse engineer the BMS?
