I'm getting a bit ahead of myself as I haven't gotten my new 5160 to boot fully yet, but was thinking what to use it for. The obvious choice for a machine with a green screen and the best keyboard ever made is of course text adventure games!

What I am envisioning is using a version of the Frotz emulator and putting all the games together to play. I might even go crazy and try writing a basic front end for choosing a game.

My question would be is this even possible, can the 5160 handle a version of the Frotz emulator, or am I stuck using the standard individual games? Has anyone tried this yet?

As far as I can tell, Frotz runs generally on DOS. I'm not sure how much RAM (or what type of memory, extended or expanded) that it needs, but I suspect that the 8088 is likely to be enough for any of the non-graphical adventures.

Someone else may have already tried, and they can comment better, if so.
