I picked up a Gateway Destination with 2 video cards in it. I hooked up the video card jumper. It now finds a pci multimedia video hardware but does not find the driver. I am guessing it is the voodoo card.

Might be a voodoo card, might be a hardware MPEG-2 decoder for DVD playback. You can look up the PCI IDs to find out, or open the case and check out the card.

I'm almost 100% certain it's a Voodoo1/2. MPEG decoder cards usually had no output, they connected to the main video card through the VESA feature connector internally with a ribbon cable.

Falconfly had a good driver archive for all 3dfx cards.

I'd recommend some of the 3rd party drivers, which have better performance and bug fixes over the stock 3dfx drivers.

That is not correct. I own a 16-bit ISA MPEG 1 decoder card (2themax MPEG Wonder) that has two VGA connectors and connects just like a Voodoo. Also, all later MPEG2/DVD decoder cards for PCI from RealMagic, Creative Labs etc. are connected externally as well (though they use custom cables).

I'm agreeing however that the card pictured is most likely a Voodoo card.

All of the MPEG decoder cards I have ever seen and currently own use the internal VESA header. The one I have for my PowerPC Macintosh uses an internal header as well.

I just found this in my old computer spare parts from when I used to do service calls for Gateway. I actually worked for IBM but we did service calls for other computer companies.
