So I purchased some DOA Apple Color monitors that I wanted to try and repair since I only have monochrome composite monitors. The two models are A2M6020 and A2M2056, both manufactured on 1986. Does anyone have schematics or know where I can find them on these monitors?

fred3rd, when you say "monitor II" Do you mean the model A2m2010? Because that isnt the monitors I need help with. These are color monitors, not monochrome. Please clarify, thanks.

None of the Monitor //s I ever had were colour. They were a Monitor /// -alike in a narrower case.

The colour monitors were called ColorMonitor IIe, or AppleColor IIe or something.

fred3rd I think you mean the monitor IIc, that is a color monitor. If you have schematics for it, please PM me!

Monitor //c is the 9" monochrome one, isn't it? The colour monitor for the //c is similarly named ColorMonitor //c or AppleColor //c, I think.

If you have a schematic of the A2M6021 can you please share? I have not seen ANY schematics for Apple composite color monitors, only RGB like for the //gs

right you are, I just remember the IIc designation in the name. I sold mine a couple years ago so I guess I forget. ColorMonitor //c

Still looking for schematics for Apple color composite monitors A2m4043, A2M6020 and A2M2056. They are all pretty similar color composite apple monitors.

I find it hard to believe the color apple II monitors repair manuals and schematics arent out there readily available. Macintosh sure,, but Apple II? Weren't these monitors popular?

Unlike Macintosh monitors the Apple II monitors were documented in the Apple Service Technical Procedures (ASTP) for the entire Apple II line. Of course they contain nothing as useful as a full schematic, but you can piece together what is going on with a lot of their monitors from the diagrams they do provide and the parts list for each.

Depending on the model you have to find an ASTP from a year in which your monitor was sold.

The Internet Archive does not have all the ASTPs with some big gaps in time, but I think at least one of your composite monitors should be covered in there.

You can see what other ASTP guides they have here:

I hope this is in some way helpful, though you probably already found these and need a full schematic.

Thankyou Rpiguy2. I have found practically nothing so far and i honestly did not know about these. Sure a schematic would save me but this is a great help too.

The 9" monochrome is just called 'Monitor' ...A2M4090 ... there is no IIc in the name on mine anyway.
I also have a ColorMonitor IIc. A2M4043 ... and could use a schematic. ;)

Yes the naming convention is atrocious. And Yes one of the monitors I am asking for help on is called the ColorMonitor IIc (and ColorMonitor IIe, and ColorComposite Monitor)
