So ...having built up one of these psu boards and tested it..
A very respectable 5.2v at the transformer end.
I'm happy with that.
Also fitted a red LED indicator...and a small SPST rocker in series with the fuse.
I can now leave it safely plugged in and switched off.
I've also used what was left of the plastic 'sticks' which do snap off when you prize the bottom off.
I left about a cm sticking up ...and epoxied m3 plastic ferrules onto them...
This leaves a hole at the top so can use M3 self tapping screws to reattach the base.
