What to do with "unuasable" devices?

Thinking it could be the RESETDRV.
As the CM153 get its CPU Reset from ISA-BUS pin 2 (RESET), could be the CM50 cpu also get a ResetDRV puls from ISA-BUS through PIN15.
So in ROM Program 80C52(CM50 drive), there could be made a reset-routine if a puls is acknowledged on port P1,2 from the ISA-Bus reset.
Seems a good idea.

Noticed on your schematics a un tested trace, did test it on my CM153, Trace is OK.

Some Progress,
At power-on,Buzzy-LED on, motor spin and no reaction of door-switch.
If I poke pin-9 80C52 CPU ,CM50, RST(Reset CPU) ,with probe Scope,( see attached 80C52 schematic.)
The Buzzy LED Goes OFF, Spin-motor stops, and now the door switch is working. Great.
If I now push door-switch(close CD-Lid) Motor starts spinning and Laser starts focussing.
So something is wrong with CM50 own RESET Puls.

ITS WORKING!
The "SyDOS Executive CD", Rebrand Philips CM50 with ISA CM153 is working.

So it seems it had to wake up with that poking on RESET pin 9 CPU 80C52.
Think a sleepy capacitor.
Lets see if it will work to morrow again. If not I have to check capacitors.
For now "Great Success".

As now the CDRom reacts from door switch, I attached it again to my 80286 PC running DOS 5.00.
NOP, Failure on finding the Device.
When I received the CM153 ISA Card, jumper was set at 300, with testing I set it at default 340.
So did put it back at 300.
New INSTALL driver with settings 300, DMA 3 , MAINBUFFERS=20, and other BUFFERS also 20.

Read in the README-file about running 1 time SETVER , if using DOS 5.00 with command:
" c:\setver mscdex.exe 4.00 <enter>"

Restart PC..and.... "1 multisession drive found, Device Driver successfully installed"

Yeb a DIR D: en see the listing.
Put an audio CD in the player, attached Headphones, started "AUDIOTSR.EXE" and pressed "P".
Now listing to a nice audio CD of "Simply RED".
The buttons does not work all to gather like PREV and NEXT (Shift < and SHIFT >) Think due to this old CM50 and newer software.
Next project is attach it to my Tulip Compact running WIN v TC-1.03. and see if it will all work as it should.
