PET 2001 chicklet needs RAM

Ok, for those who are experts with the Commodore pets, can I find out what options I have. My 8K pet is showing only 2047 bytes on power up. I am assuming bad RAM. I reseated the ram a few times but got nothing different. I even swapped the rows to see if that changed, no dice. Mine has the 6550 RAM and I was wondering if there are replacement RAM chips out there or has somebody built a RAM daughterboard?

seems Centallica had a similar porblem with his RAM.

Actually, I found this guy who makes piggyback RAM/ROM boards for my version of the PET!

This should be the fix I need unless somebody knows where to locate 6550 RAM IC's?

Just wanted to update on the RAM status of my board. I am for sure going with this add-on RAM/ROM card for my pet. I can build my own but this board comes with other switch selectable ROMS so I can use a disk drive with this (original rom can't use disk drive), 32K RAM and the ability to put away any good RAM IC's in case the video RAM IC's go out!
