I got a little board this afternoon. (Yeah I was scared too.) And added a little corner to my Web Server to post pictures of my stuff. I have a LOT more than the three pictured, but my camera batteries died and I didn't have any replacements on hand. (I'll get those tomorrow.) WS1 itself is pictured there, even though its not much to look at. I'll also put a for sale section there once I get the camera working again.....

EDIT:
If you have some images that are too big to upload to vB, then let me know I'll host them for you.

I think I still have a hard drive that fits in that toshiba. If it ever dies..

Which one? The older Toshiba looks like that becuase of bad lighting. It's clean. It wasn't when I got it. It was stuck in a cabnet full of soldering irons. It had a bunch of rosin from the rosion core solder we used. I cleaned it up as about as good as I could have. As for my ThinkPad of death, I never allowed it to get dirty. I loved it. The track point acts a little funky now and then, but its alright. I forgot the batteries for the camera today, hopefully I'll remember tomorrow, I want to get the desktop machines up and the forsale section going.......

I meant the toshiba. I didn't know it was solder rosin...ouch.
THere is a semi-solution. You could scratch the plastic down to where the white shows, wouldn't be perfect, but good enough.

It's an Optiplex GX 1 I bought off of a uBid auction for no reason. It eventually became a workstation for about 3 months. It then went on to become Web Server 1. WS1 is getting a little older, but it still works just fine for what it is. There is a large Domain Controller not pictured, but it broke down a long time ago and needs a lot of work.

my old AMD duron system died so i bought "Inuyasha" as the GX110 is called for $15 with no hd and used some of the surviving parts( hd, sound card,Radeon 7000 video card, modem, DVD drive, CDRW, ram, and the external accessories) from the AMD to beef it up. The result is a fairly fast machine( considering its a 667mhz P-III) that has yet to give me any trouble.

My Downed DC is a 1.8 GHz Celeron system that used Rambus RDRAM. I liked the RIMM feature even though it is far from vintage. It used to run a much larger website system, but it may have died. So WS1 took over the job of DC1. It'll be back again someday though....

Isn't that a good example of modern technology that quickly became abandoned and depending on your definition sooner may categorize as obsolete/vintage than it otherwise should? From what I gather, RDRAM/RIMM is no longer supported or the technology has been merged with DDR SDRAM for higher speeds.

Actually, RDRAM is still very activily used today. It's just lesser known. And it most certinaly NOT merged with DDR. DRR is a slower, less powerful technology than RIMM's. RDRAM starts a 800MHz an goes to a little over 1024MHz in speeds. It meant for Servers and things that process large amounts of data in a fast amout of time. Like the servers used to compile programs would find RDRAM useful. There is such a thing as a SO-RIMM, but I have never seen a laptop that used it. I guess RDRAM was just overlooked. It was kinda ahead of its time. I just really like the lesser known stuff that people don't normally use. Like RDRAM. The motherboard itself was made by Intel, which probably explaines why it's not working.... The only non sterotypical (Wintel) laptops I've seen are Sparc ones and a laptop with the Via C3 and C7 processor. But those are hard to find.

As for the Zenith SuperSport, there are no plans to sell it at this time, and It may not function anymore. I need to look into it......
