I really don't want to argue about what people think is public or private. Rbiomaster's message clearly belong as a private message, hence my note.

Also, next time post where the machine will be shipped from so that people can decide if the shipping is worth it.

I decided not tp put shipping there, a buyer will worry about that when the actually wish to purchase the item, however i will be using fedex, at whatever level the buyer wishes

I think you missed my point. Post where you are shipping from, not how much shipping will be. People can do a fairly good estimate of shipping charges based on how far away you are.

Sorry, I didn't read your previos post carefully. I will be shipping from Chehalis, Washington(really close to Olympia, Washington)

Someone asked about the specs... Toshiba's European site lists all of the laptops specs... clickie here: http://tinyurl.com/j6rt2 ...there's also a link to the original product brochure on the bottom of the page.

PFFF, I don't care if the battery is good or not, $150 for a 486SX with an 80mb Hard Drive is outrageous. I had one better than this, but threw it at a wall because it sucked so much....

I bought a laptop of similar specs last week for £5.
2 years ago bought another similar one for £10. The toshiba models were very popular, and are anything but rare.

Guys/Gals,

M4nSl4y3r has offered this item for sale. If you have questions about the specifications or condition of the item that is fair game. But discussion about what you think it is worth is in a grey area, so keep it nice.

M4nSl4y3r - a good battery is hard to find, but unless the machine is truly collectible or somebody is up against a wall somehwere, they're not going to pay this kind of money for an old laptop. You can get a newer laptop with a less expensive new battery for much less.

I don't mean to offend anyone, but I got a Compaq Contura Aero 4/25 [486SX 25MHz, 4MB Ram, 250MB HDD, and it's one of the smallest laptops I've seen, about 2 jornadas in size] for less than $15. And it works on battery for almost 2 hours.

If your gonna flame me, make sure youve got your info straight

I've got my info very straight, you don't seem to however, since I was asking an honest question... now to fxg: that lappy for $15 is a good deal.
