How many WORKING computers do you have?

Post

Post

I finally decided to see what was going on in this post. I guess I was missing out!

New: Compaq Evo P4 sff(needs new DDR) trying to sell/trade
Power Macintosh 5260/100 WILL sell/trade

Old: Tandy 2100(looking for another Tandy+keyboard, mouse, monitor, Ect...

Apple IIC(W/mouse,joystick,ImageWriter II,disk drive, all is original, I've also got a billion disks, including the original 5, and other such stuff. )

Zenith Data Systems laptop w/no software...I will sell this/trade

AT&T 6300 WGS with a crapload of manuals(orig.) disks(2 boxes of) the orig. monitor and keyboard/mouse. trying to sell another of the same machine/keyboard/manuals/disks.

Thats about it, although I am constantly buying on ebay. I would like to aquire a Tandy 1000(or more) with Tandy keyboard, monitor, and maybe mouse.

I might have a cyrix 5x86 somewhere ;)

haha cool, yeah i think those a bit rarer than the intel/amd chips. i've got a cyrix Cx486 DX33 chip sittin right here. it's got some bent pins on it, but it looks to be fixable without breaking them off.

I have a whole bunch of Socket 7 / Super Socket 7 AT mainboards with Cyrix processors that I saved from the skip at work. Not as interesting as a 5x86 though :D From what I read, the Cyrix 5x86 gives the same performance as a Pentium 75.

Right at this moment, ONE!

All my other stuff is packed up and in storage awaiting the day I finally find a place to download, er, move it to!

Just my poor lonely Dell laptop and me...

Curtis

(Mad's Update"

Since it's been awhile, and the lineup has changed, here's my workin' machines....

[New Stuff]
Everex NC1500 Laptop - New Main Laptop
the Omnipresent GEM PIII - PIII in a heavily modified full size AT mid-80's chassis
Flight 386 SX - Really an AMD K-6 in disguise, The original one of my collection

[Old Stuff]
IBM Thinkpad 755CD - Backup Laptop
CAT Computers 486 DX/4-100 - Hot-Rodded 486, I always have to have one of these around
GEM 286/10 - Overclocked to 12 MHz, It's the ultimate AT clone
IBM XT in a Clone Case - The infamous 1.44MB Dual Floppy machine

[Almost Working]
IBM Thinkpad I-Series 1400 - Backup screen is bad, but somewhat useable, otherwise, it runs fine, and acts as a backup/file server on my LAN once in awhile.

I guess I'll start with the one I'm on right now, which I might add is the most modern I possess that is functional:

CyrixInstead 6x86MX (That's according to the system properties) It's slow as molasses in January. Got it at a thrift shop for nothing.

Pulse 486 (I believe) Sadly the cmos batt recently died.
NCC 486
Commodore 64 (breadbox)
Commodore 128
Commodore Vic-20 (x2) both the original gold/brown tagged models.
Commodore C16 (has issues)
Commodore Plus/4 (x2) Not really functional on account of mostly gibberish being returned to the screen. The second one won't even boot.
Atari 800
Tandy Color Computer 1
Tandy Color Computer 2
Tandy Color Computer 3
Apple ][e (First version)
Apple //c
Apple Macintosh SE/30
Apple Macintosh SE (seems to work fine but I have no software for it)
Apple Macintosh Classic and Classic II (both of which sadly only boot up with scrambled images)
Apple Power Macintosh 6100/60AV (sounds like it functions but I can't get an image on either of the monitors I have for it. Might be a bad video card)
TI99/4a (complete with PEB)
Mattel Aquarius (x2)
Sega 3000

Consoles:
Atari 2600 (x3) A heavy sixer, light sixer and a "darth vader".
Sears Video Arcade II (later Sears version of the Atari 2600)
Atari 5200
Atari 7800
Intellivision (x3) An original "gold and brown" model, Intellivision II and an INTV System III
Colecovision
Bally Home Library Computer (The original version of the Bally Astrocade) Complete with the original 300 baud data transfer unit)
Fairchild Channel F II
APF MP1000
Odyssey2
Sega Master System
Sega Genesis (x3) (with Sega CD unit and 32X which I desperately need cables for)
Sega Dreamcast
Nintendo NES (x3)
Nintendo SNES
PS/1

The Dreamcast and the PS/1 will never be used to their full potential since I can not play 3-D intensive games without suffering intense motion sickness. (One of the lovely "benefits" of getting old I guess)

I'm always on the hunt to acquire more even though I can barely fit any more in the small house in which I live.
Also have an AT&T PC6300 that I really wish I could get to function properly so I could play all of those great PC BOOTER games.

I also have two AST Premium Exec 386SX/20 and an AST Advantage Explorer 486SX/25 laptops that are all lacking the A/C adapters and the batteries have long lost their charges. I would love to get the adapters from somewhere and finally get to see if any of these work.

Just added this to my collection 2 days ago. An Amstrad PPC 640. Didn't have the power adaptor, but my Laptop grade iGo powers it with no problem. Here its pictured with my HP 95lx and my Game Boy Micro just to show how far we've come. The PPC work all the way, though its definately a "five footer". It looks pretty good from five feet away, but up close, you can tell its had quite a life.I set this thing up with Windows version 1.01,which works great on a duel floppy system like this. I need to find a mouse though.

  • NEC Ready 340t laptop PC (bought new 1999)

  • Fujitsu Lifebook 735Dx laptop PC
  • eMachines W2047 desktop PC (bought new 2003)
  • Compaq LTE5300 laptop PC
  • IBM ThinkPad T20 laptop PC
  • eMachines M2350 laptop PC (bought new 2004)
  • VTech Laser Compumate2 notebook word processor
  • Tandy WP-2 notebook word processor
  • Tandy 102 notebook microcomputer

  • Tandy 1500HD laptop PC

I have a TRS-80 DVI that's missing a connector cable and both floppy drives.

The Mac and the Monorail are in the garage, the rest of them are within arm's reach. It's a pretty messy office.

And it seems, so was the "furry".
Perhaps the word you were looking for was "fury"?

Also, please use punctuation. It's hard to parse your post
wheneverythingisallruntogetherwithnowaytotellwhereoneideaendsandthenextonebegins

Hey, I read typo so well now I didn't really notice that it said "furry". Always read it a "fury" anyway.

hey, got another laptop last week on eBay. a HP Pavilion. I can run a few programs on it, but not as much as i would like. It's not exactly what i would consider vintage though.
