no red on external monitor

i got a nos port replicator for my 701c (finally) and hooked up my lcd monitor t the vga port but theres no red in the picture ive tried three other monitors and theres no red tones the connectors are perfectly aligned and clean. what else could it be ive even triede my old port replecateor with the same result everything else on it works great.
 
Well, since the same thing is happening on both replicators, there must be a signal required that isn't connected to the replicator's video output needed to drive the LCD.

Do you have a CRT unit that you can try it with?
 
Well, since nothing you hook up to it gives you a red signal, I'd say that there may be a cracked solder connection on the video output connector on the replicator and if desoldering and resoldering the board contacts for the video out connector doesn't fix it, we'll have to trace a little further back.
