I've just posted a PDF of the IBM Technical Reference v2.02 on to the Retroarchive site.
The manual is broken up into three parts - they're not OCRed, but the scans are at 300dpi and very clear. It includes settings, technical descriptions, schematics and BIOS source listings.

If anyone has anything they'd like me to host, just let me know.

Doesn't that just figure. :) I've made a note to check it tonight.

I've got the Asynchronous Communications Support manual scanned and it'll go online next.

Gene,
Thanks for posting. I just referenced the manual for a completely unrelated subject regarding the Catweasel. You are scholar (sp?) and a gentleman!

Thanks!

Andrew Lynch

PS, and I can't spell today either.

Chuckle, weird. You putting "sp?" made me wonder if scholar was spelled right or not. It is. At least I get some use out of that Encarta subscription that comes with my MSN crud. I use it for spelling most of the time now. My old friend "MS Word" is not installed on most of my computers, I used that for years.

You're quite welcome Andrew.

I haven't gotten the link fixed yet - I'll try to get it done tonight.

If anyone has any other IBM tech docs they'd like to put online, just let me know. I'd love to find the equivalent guide for the 5170.

if someone is desperate for a download (e.g. for the schematic of the cga monitor for instance;)) typing in the obvious link to the missing PDF works.

I now have the link fixed. :)

I've added:

Problem Determination Procedures
(this was found in the back of the async manual, but applies to the entire pc/xt)

IBM Asynchronous Communications Adapter - PC
IBM Asynchronous Communications Adapter - PC/XT
(these two appear to be the same except for showing the XT and the expansion chassis on the front cover of the PC/XT manual)

IBM Asynchronous Communications Support
(This covers a bit of comms software apparently. If anyone out there has the software, I'd love to put it online along with its manual.)

tnx all!
