Day 983 of my captivity.
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. Idiots.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now.........

Somehow, cats seems to be somwehat attracted to me. Once, we visited some friends for the first time, they had two cats, one of them a pretty shy. We was sitting in the sofa and talking, and suddenly the shy cat came right up on my lap, where it rested for a while.

I(/We) really don't have cats, because of my brother and dads allergy, however, there are several of them around our house (so we have to watch out when we are walking around in our garden).

I did not like dogs when I was smaller. I remember when I was about 3 years old, I was in kindergarden, and nearly each day, a person with a dog came by. I where allways scared when the dog barked (The dog was about as tall as I was then).

My uncle got a dog that goes crazy every time visitors come by.

Dog:

These people feed me and take care of me and cater to all my needs. They must be Gods.

Cat:

These people feed me and take care of me and cater to all my needs. I must be a God.

Dogs are pack animals, once they figure out who is boss they will take anything that person gives them and deal with it. Cats are not pack animals, even in groups they are all individuals and if you swat one it will swat you back (you are an equal not a boss).

Yep. Just like there's dog people and there's cat people. :p

I had an old cat back when I was going to college that was dying of old age (nothing the vet could do). That cat on its last day dragged itself to say goodbye to everyone in the house (and my room was a flight of steps up, her last stop). That cat died in my arms. The previous owner was an old lady that worked to the day she died, was given that cat by her kids who didn't want it anymore and she gave it to us because she had no time for it and locked it in the basement so it would not ruin her furniture. We had it for 5+ years and let it go wherever it wanted and gave it attention, but it still liked to sleep in the basement (furnished and carpeted at the time) out of habit.

If you show an animal some kindness and attention it will do the same for you, treat it as an annoyance and it will just show up for food and then be on its way.

There is nothing in the world, nothing in the annals of romantic love that comes even close to the love that an animal will put out for it's people.

I've had, and have, a lot of cats and a few dogs and the love for their human partner is so unconditional that no two people will ever know it between them.

I love animals, all animals, it's people, as a species, that I can't stand.
