Hey all, I found this site by chance when searching for the name of a computer store here in Canada that used to sell lots of old equipment. I'm an Apple/Mac fan of anything pre-1997, and my first personal computer was a Mac IIsi sometime in the mid 90's. I've also toyed around with IBM XT clones, 286s, 386s, quite a few 486s up to 100mhz overdrive CPUs with onboard PCI. My collecting is put on hold for now until I can move into a larger place in a few years.

I also run a massive antique software archive on the Hotline/KDX protocols (see www.preterhuman.net for info), and a 100gb+ text file archive (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Higher_intellect_project)

Welcome from an ex-Canuck (VYR).

When you get the bigger place, get it as big as you can get it. As others will no doubt testify, when you start collecting, it's amazing how much space you will fill up, and then you'll want even more space.

Yeah by the time i'm able to get settled into a mortgage, I'd be looking at rural property and I'd be putting up a few buildings for some of my projects and also to store all this sort of stuff.
