Hello folks, I was hoping i could get some info from some knowledgable people here. I have an old Tektronix 4114 computer display terminal. It is about a 3 foot tall base with the guts in the bottom and a seperate monitor that sits on top. I've attached a few quick pics i took while i was at my parents house earlier today where its stored. I also have a box full of old various Tektronix peripheral operating manuals. Last time i fired the thing up about 10 years ago it did work. I'm not sure about now tho it still should without too much work if it doesn't. Its been cool and dry just dusty. I don't really want it anymore it just sits out there collecting more dust. I was hoping someone here might be able to give me an avg price of what its worth nowadays. I did find out that it came out in the 1982 Tektronix catalog for $17,500. I know its not worth nearly that much today but if anyone knows what it might be worth i'd like to find out. As far as the manuals i've seen a few for $35 range but these aren't in that great of shape, at least the ones at the end of the box, so maybe $10-15 each or something fair?
Ahh in looking at the pics i should mention that there is the front cover that goes with it :) i just took it off for the pic to show the inards if you can see em, the lighting isn't the best out there for pics.

There are a few folks who collect terminals around. If you'ld like, I can post a notice of this on the classic computer list, where you're likely to find more interest.

sure or if you wouldn't giving me the website also. I did some googling yesterday trying to find a nice old computer forum or something. I ended up here before i went to bed last night. If there's another more popular forum or classified for old computing stuff i'll post something there also.

Here's the subscription page If Jay's not too busy, he'll get you on to the list fairly quickly, otherwise it could take some time.

In the meantime, I'll post a link to your post here.

ya i've still got it, i've no clue what its worth. I'm in Battle Ground if your close enough to pick it up or take a closer look at it? i'd hate to think of what shipping a unit thats practically as big as i am would cost, that and the monitor weights a hundred pounds or so.

I've still got this thing. I stopped by parents house agian and tried turning it on. It did run when i parked it but now there's a strange clicking soming from the power supply, sounds like a relay or something trying to engage. Its all clean inside, not corroded anywhere. Would anyone know a decent starting price if i were to put it up on ebay, based on the info? Thanks in advance.
