I got a Mouse systems optical mouse, but I don't got any mouse-pad for it. After doing some research, I figured that those mices need a special mousepad designed to reflect the ligth in a certain way the muse expected. As I don't got a pad like this, I don't think I can use the mouse.

So, does anybody got one spare?

The mousepad is a special one that has a grid printed on the reflective surface. You need to look for the old mirrored SUN mouse pads they will work (Mouse systems designed mice for the old sparc systems).

I've been able to construct my own using aluminum foil and a grid outline printed on transparent sheets designed for overhead projectors. It takes a little experimenting to get the grid spacing right, but it works pretty well.

Original mousepads are going to be hard to find.

Is there any posibility for you to make the images used for the gird outline availble somewhere online? It would be great for me, or any other in lack of a similar mousepad.

Unfortunately, the only pad like that I have is in use for this computer. . .

The mouse systems part number is TFX 403368-002

These mice last almost forever. I've been using mine continuously since 1995.

I've got one, are you still interested? I'll take a photo of it shortly and send the link out
