Ugh, finances got severely boned a couple days back - you know the drill. I'm gauging interest on my beloved amiga. I got this from Zektor and it's not stock:

a500 system - 1.3 KS, 1.3 Workbench

1MB Chip RAM (mod done to make trapdoor act as chip)
Fat Agnus
PAL/NTSC switch
PC Floppy drive modded to be an Amiga floppy drive
Power supply, a520 for A/V output and comes with a Sega Genesis controller - which works as a gamepad (b = button 1, c = button 2)

Over 100 disks full of games and apps. These were made via Amiga Explorer, not legit so just consider them being 100 blank Amiga formatted floppies for value. As in "not much"

I'm looking for paypal only, but because of the mods I'm not sure if value would get increased or decreased. I can take pics when I get home to any and all interested (or not be an idiot and just up them here :D )

It's a great system and if I'm 'stuck' with it I won't mind. However the checkbook's empty and I need to find some cash somehow.

Bumppo - Would look at A8, Sega Genesis or Super Nintendo stuff in trade if no one's looking at cash...

Like I said, not mine, wish I could get it but can't fit another computer in at the moment (top of the fridge is full)

I could possibly trade SNES or Genesis things - I have... erm... a lot. :p

However, I don't have the funds to cover shipping to or from him, so that could be an issue. Let him know though - I will have money again in a few weeks.

Find out what he wants, or get him to sign up here and correspond, if you would. Thanks.

Waha - it be me!

How come I haven't been here earlier - old computers have become my main thing of lately...

So yes - this is mine, and the disks are basically blanks that I put stuff on via Amiga Explorer. I can include a null modem cable if necessary but I'm keeping the AE DVD.

Now - I have a super nintendo and a Sega CDX - so hardware wise all I'd really need would be a 32X or a Power Base Convertor - but games I'd look at for trade, or Atari 8-bit stuff.

I'd prefer cash since I'm planning on moving out of the country in the next year and the more I downsize the better... but Carts and accessories are small, no? :D

Indeed - 32X and the PBC are all CDX compatible... Sega just couldn't get the FCC rights for the 32X/CDX combo. Reminded me of when the xbox couldn't play DVDs without the remote - MS couldn't get the DVD license in time. :D

<-- font of useless knowledge.

I have a 32x and a Power Base converter is in the mail to me now, but unfortunately no duplicates, and I obviously just got the Power Base, heh.

I do, however, have lots of games.

I understand that you'd prefer cash, but I have SO little money that I can't afford to buy anything more than a few cards here and there, etc. - a trade is viable though.

I have lots of games for Genesis and for SNES, but *generally* I only trade duplicates, so let me know what you're looking for. If you're looking for anything you can get your hands on, I'll count what I have doubles of for both systems up and see where that takes us. I have some Sega CD games, not many, but I'd consider trading some. I also have a Super Game Boy cart for SNES that I'd consider trading (lets you play gameboy carts on the SNES). I have lots more stuff for various systems too, so if you are into anything besides Genesis and SNES let me know.

Ah yes, and I also just got my hands on a SNES Model 2 (like below picture).

I wasn't looking to get rid of that, but if it makes or breaks the deal I'd rather have an Amiga and my 3 working SNES model 1s than no Amiga and four working SNESes, even if the fourth isn't the same.. ;p

Share some of your useless knowledge - can the Sega Nomad work with the PBC or 32x? (I have a Nomad)

No way to get the RGB cable from the 32X into the Nomad, and a couple lines are missing on the Nomad's cart slot even if you could.

However, technically the PBC is compatible... if you can get it to fit. However this would help you in that regard:

http://tototek.com/pio/main1/SUBMENU/PARTS/LINKS/OS/mark3converter.htm

IIRC it comes with it's own FM chip so you'd get true SMS/Mark-3 sound out of the Nomad.

As for trades - I'm mainly looking for RPGs and 'the classics' so to speak. I'm more partial to the Genesis in that regard.

I'm also a bit Atari 800 fan, so there's that - or if you happen to have either a Spectrum or a MSX2 I'd look at it... and probably need more on my side to trade for a MSX2 :D

Interesting that you mention RPGs for the Sega Genesis -- I was talking with one of my gaming/computing friends and we were talking about our favorite franchise for Sega, "Phantasy Star." It's a series that seems to get overlooked especially with so much hype and love given to the "Final Fantasy" series games. Don't get me wrong, I like many of the Final Fantasy games, but I absolutely LOVED the Phantasy Star games.

Hope I didn't go too far off-topic on the post ;), just a passionate (and somewhat biased!) Phantasy Star fan! btw AB Positive, if there are any games in particular that you are looking for, feel free to PM me if you'd like, I'll see what I can track down of mine.

Oh please, I'm a huge Sega fan... Phantasy Star being a favorite - PSIV is currently in my CDX as we speak :D.

Cart only, but I remember playing my friend's when he got it - $99 brand new :p

It was worth it though. Pulled the FFVII swerve a good 4 or 5 years earlier!

Don't have a Spectrum or MSX system. I'd consider trading the Atari 800XL but it has no cables/controllers/carts/etc., and it's untested (but should work).

How much would you want for the Amiga if I *did* have money, anyway? If it's not too much perhaps I could afford it and shipping in a few weeks?

I have duplicates of (at first glance, probably more):

Thunder Force II (really, really good sidescrolling shooter)
Beavis and Butthead (better than it sounds)
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (obviously one of the best Sonic games out there.. they're all good though..)

My Sega CD collection (I don't play any of it, so I'd consider trading any of it):
Jurassic Park
Ground Zero Texas
Dungeon Master II: Skullkeep (believe this is a good RPG if memory serves)
Racing Aces
BC Racers
Ecco: The Tides of Time
Loadstar: The Legend of Tully Bodine

Out of the Sega CD games I'd least like to get rid of Ground Zero Texas and Dungeon Master II.

I'll let you know when I get more time to go through my stuff - I should have some good RPGs and otherwise duplicate for SNES and at least a few more Genesis doubles.

I should note that the miggy sold however if there isn't a sega thread somewhere in an off-topic section, I'll be happy to start one. I <3 Sega...
