Hello everyone...

I recently purchased a Motorola MEK6802D5 Single Board Computer, in good working order. Unfortunately, it did not include the user manual. The design of the D5 is similar to the more popular MEK6800D2 kit released in the 70's. These are great little computers!

I searched the NET high-and-low and wasn't able to locate a copy of the user manual. Does anyone have more information on the operation of this computer or maybe has the user manual available for copy?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks! :D

MEK6802D5 User Information

I haven't been able to find a copy of this user manual but did find a second source for most of the information in it: INTRODUCTION TO 6800/6802 MICROPROCESSOR SYSTEMS by R.J. Simpson and T.J. Terrell. Chapter 5, MEK6802D5E EVALUATION SYSTEM seems to taken directly from the user manual. The only thing it doesn't have is the ROM listing and schematic diagram. Chapter 6, HANDS-ON INVESTIGATION USING THE 6802D5E EVALUATION SYSTEM has some programming and hardware interface examples. Reasonably priced copies are available on bookfinder.com

Where i work we have an old MEK6802d5 with a manual.
The manual is called M6800 Programming reference manual.
If you can use it, i will scan it for you :)

Best Regards Morten

Hi,
I'm new to the forum, and have been looking for a copy of this manual for years!
It seem impossible to find, and I would be happy to cover costs for a copy - scan or otherwise.

Cheers, Martin

Hello,

I am looking for a copy of the MEK6802D5 manual.
Will someone be kind to send me?
By advance meny thanks.

Jean-Luc.

Sorry for posting on such an old thread, but I'd write exactly the same.
It seems the MEK-6802-D2 manual is on bitsavers, and it has the basics in common with the D5, though not entirely. I still can't run programs on my D5 with the info from the D2 manual, getting a "-SP- ??" error, but at least I can enter it.

It seems there's quite a lot of these floating about, if anyone finds the D5 specific manual, I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd be thrilled :)

Hi there,

seems an ebay seller has bundled a this MOTOROLA MEK6802D5 MANUAL COPY + MOTOROLA EVAL MANUAL PDF CD + ELENCO XK300 XK-300 and its available for sale now at us$24.99.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ELENCO-XK30...NUAL-PDF-CD-/121855290903?hash=item1c5f242e17

I see the earlier 2010 link at (http://www.nitrate.plus.com/Files/Do.../mek6802d5.pdf) has expired due to "overrun of bandwidth". I wonder if the wayback archive has this site data ?

anyways hope that helps.

Guess $25 is not to dear for this doc.

Hi again,

well a Google hit on mek6802d5 found the manual published at http://issuu.com/old-computers/docs/motorola_mek6802d5_microcomputer_evaluation_board_

If you have lightshot installed on your computer, then while viewing the above link at full screen, with 2 pages, just hit print screen, set the capture window size with mouse then use the save icon on lightscreen to save to hd. Then do the next 2 pages. Manual is 106 pages so should not take ages to get at least usable and later viewable jpg's of it.

Thanks regardless!

You are a champ. Thanks much. Though I'm working on my SYM-1 right now, this board isn't far behind.
