Still cleaning.... I have a pile of 3.5" disks here that are free for the taking. You pay shipping.

There are network card drivers, CD-ROM drivers, Spinrite, DrivePro, games, and a whole set of Win95 disks here. Empty space in the box has been filled with new labels and new 3.5" disks.

It's a 4lb 9oz package that is 8 x 6 x 4" in size. You can figure out the shipping at www.usps.com and ping me if you want it.

Some post offices are stupid, if you look at the medial mail description on USPS site they specifiy software as being included. They do state no advertisement.

They explicitly state no "video games", for some weird reason. I'm pretty sure that old floppies and such will go through just fine, as long as they aren't all 100% games. :p I just sent a box of boxes of floppies out via media mail just fine.

I'll bet what is going on is that USPS is inspecting very few media mail packages. But I'll bet that if they do find a single disk with a game lable, the shippment will not go through. I don't know if the sender gets the package back or not.

I am willing to speculate that media mail was created so libraries could get a break on the cost of shipping books between themselves. The "no advertisements" clause tells me it is meant for scholarly material, which computer games aren't.

By the way, I'm not being a grump and trying to spoil everybody's fun. I'm actually quite happy today :) I won an IBM PC/AT today for a nice price. Solitare, Tetris, Works for DOS and Windows, and Wordperfect will all be available to me after I put my 386 baby AT motherboard into it. Peachy :)
