I live in my parents' basement (yeah, cliche, I know) and it's pretty much filled with my stuff. Some of it I *never* use and to put it simply should really get rid of.

Anyway, I'll be posting various things in this thread over the coming days/weeks - not sure which things I'm getting rid of, yet, but I have many 68k Macs, every type of cable imaginable, and I'll likely get rid of some PCs too - and I don't have many boring ones, so the PCs I get rid of will be unique if I do part with some..

Feel free to ask about items you might know that I have.

I will consider trades, if you have certain items, but this is primarily to free space, so the best option for me is selling. If you can pick items up, I might let some things go for very cheap or free - ask.

First run of stuff...

IBM Terminals - one earlier one later, one is a 3151, don't recall the model of the other. The 3151 takes the RJ cable keyboards, the other takes PS/2.

I have several MacBook Duo Dock IIs (three) that I don't need. All working AFAIK, but I can test before shipping as I do own a MacBook Duo.

I have a full Packard Bell 233Mhz Pentium box with it's original keyboard, mouse, and monitor. It's like new, has all of the stickers on the front of the machine intact, etc. I know the original owner of this, I'm only the second.

Brother Whisperwriter (electronic word processor with monochrome monitor).. This machine is a mix between a computer and a typewriter, it can save documents to floppy disks in DOS format, it has a screen, and being a typewriter it can print of course too. It has plenty of ink - was very lightly used before I got it - has all stickers, etc., but no original box. Worth noting that it doesn't just do word processing, it has several programs. One could modify the leaked DOS source or FreeDOS to run on it, because it is x86 (nonstandard, though), but I don't care to go through the effort.

I have lots of 68k Macs, LC series and IIxx series in particular, and one Quadra 950.

There's an interesting white TV I have with dials for tuning and a handle on the top - would be good for vintage console gaming, i.e., NES, SNES, Genesis, etc.

I have a security TV with some odd features, including the ability to turn the screen off independently of the TV so that you can use it to process video (like coax->tv->vcr) without having the screen on wasting power.

An HP graphical X terminal, designed to hook up to *nix servers and allow you to work remotely. It is 80186 powered and has a 10base2 network card built-in. It has no expansion slots, but does have a single SIMM slot (occupied). I don't currently have a 10base2 network set up (can never locate cheap cables) so I haven't been able to use it - it works fine, though - you can get to the configuration screen, etc. and it shows up. This machine has it's own monitor, special one - it goes from three BNC connectors to a VGA connector. I currently have the wire for it modified to allow you to hook it up to a normal VGA port (the monitor is fixed-freq 1024x768 with separate sync). You can use any monitor with the machine, though, and since the monitor is huge and heavy I will separate if you want to only buy the box itself.

Finally, there's a Dell Latitude CP - it's a Pentium MMX laptop, fully functional with two batteries (that both hold a charge well), a docking station (with PCI slots), AC adapter, and several drives (FDD, CDROM, ZIP250) that can go into the multibay. This is a very nice machine but I don't have need of it..

That's it for now, let me know, as I said, if you want anything I haven't listed that you happen to know I have. PM with offers, post with questions, etc..

Edit: I have lots of cards, too, so if you need anything feel free to ask and I'll look through them. Mostly PC stuff but I have some Mac cards too.

Anywho there's one card in particular that I can't use and is likely rare - a NCR 1986 video card with a NEC chip. I asked on here ages ago and it's believed to go to a PC98 or something iirc. It's got a 9-pin video out and it states on the bracket that it should only be connected to "CRT's with Cl. No. 3277 or 3295 listed on monitor name plates. It's 8-bit ISA (at least physically).

Edit 2: I have a Mac SE/30 case/monitor for parts, the board got pwnt by battery leak. I scavenged chips from it - ROM SIMM, RAM SIMMs, DIP chips, etc.. buyer of case can have the chips for free. :D

I also have a lot of motherboards I'd sell - 386, 486, Pentium.. and some non-vintage Pentium II, Pentium III, and at least one Pentium IV.

I have duplicate game consoles I can sell - NES, SNES, Genesis, PlayStation.

I have duplicate game carts for Intellivision, Atari 2600, NES, SNES, Genesis.

I have controllers for just about every console you can think of, so if you need some for something in particular just ask.

Also as an addendum to the mention of "cards" earlier - I should be more specific, 8-bit ISA, 16-bit ISA, VESA, PCI, PCMCIA, NuBus, and PDS. The Mac stuff I have is all networking/modem gear as cards go, unless there's something in one of the machines I have here. For PC, for every slot type listed, I have one or more of just about every sort of card ever made.

I have an extensive collection of keyboards and mice, if anybody is looking for something specific.

I have an entire cabinet of SCSI drives, and an entire cabinet of IDE drives - most of which I'd sell.

I have a huge shelf of CDROM drives (including some DVD and some burners).

I also have a reasonable amount of spare 5.25" and 3.5" floppy drives (no more IBM PS/2 drives left, sold them all).

I have some C64 stuff I can sell, an Okidata printer with the original packaging, an Epyx Fast Load cartridge, CoCoNotes cartridge, and Facemaker cartridge.

I have an Odyssey 2 that I'll sell, but no cartridges, so I can't test it. It does power on and show garbage characters on the screen, though, so my assumption is that it works (the guy who I sold . I have already rewired it so that it doesn't require the proprietary Odyssey RF box and will work with a normal one. It's in relatively good shape.

I will take almost any offer you make on things, I really need money and I really need space, so don't be afraid to make an offer.

I also will take trades, depending on what you have to offer and what you want, but I prefer cash because I am pretty short on it at the moment.

Sweet.

Ok, throwing in my interest for:

atari 2600 carts
Vectrex games and controllers if you have them.

And just for the heck of asking:

Any SIPPs if you have them. Also maybe any socket 4 stuff too and if you have any, a wd90c00 video card or one like it (wdc paradise vga).
Oh yea, and a 8087-1.

What spare carts do you have available for the NES, SNES and Genesis?

And what's available for the consoles and controllers?

Willing to ship to Canada?

I have some 8-bit ISA VGA cards (one of them is currently in the XT I got from you - :D).

I am willing to ship to Canada or Europe, but you pay shipping.

I think the NES carts are taken, the Quadra 950 is definitely taken.

Cartridge Lists:
Atari 2600 - Frogger, Warlords, Pac-Man
Intellivison - NBA Basketball, Skiing, Bowling (willing to sell non-duplicate carts if you're looking for something specific)
SNES - Mortal Kombat, StarFox, Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Country 2
Genesis - Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic the Hedgehog, Thunder Force II (excellent game, horizontal shooter), Beavis and Butthead

I think I have some sports games on the Genesis as well that I'd part with (hate sports games), so ask if you have interest in them and I'll fish them out and list them.

Some minor water problems in basement that I live in, so I can't get pictures at the moment (so much stuff everywhere that there's not really anywhere to take pictures without hauling stuff around).

I have no Vectrex gear (wish I did, heh).

Assuming you mean these by SIPP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIPP_memory) I have none. I do have lots of SIMMs and DIMMs if anyone is looking for those, every era from 30pin SIMM -> 184pin DIMM.

For consoles I already listed the specific duplicate systems - Genesis, SNES, NES, PSX.

As for controllers I have a good dozen or more controllers for each system, third party and first party. Too many to list, but if you want to ask for something specific I'll take a look for you.

I would consider selling my 21" CRT (Sony) if anybody is interested - it's 4:3 ratio, and works fine, it's just a bit too dim for me (not dim enough to be bad, mind you, just doesn't look good next to my 1920x1200 LCD) - at least $100 for that, or trades, pickup preferred (but I'll ship if you really want, heh).

I may well have more Quadra 950s to sell, but not soon. I know a guy who has a large haul of Mac stuff for me but it's so much I have to take it in trips once a year or so. Need to clear out some of the stuff I have now before I can pick up more, though. I'll make a post in the future when I get more stuff, ofc.

I figured since I was accepting trades, I should list some of the stuff I am interested in:
All-in-One PCs (especially Compaq, I'm a sucker for All-In-One Presarios) specifically a Presario 5xx or other Pentiums with CRT
Color Mac Classic variants, TAM (I doubt you have or will trade me one lol)
Upgrade CPUs for any computer, i.e., 8088->286, 386->486, 68030->68040, 486->Pentium, Cyrix chips, Winchip, etc., and upgrade boards (where a PCI or ISA card takes over as the computer after POST and has it's own RAM, CPU, etc.)
Compatibility boards to let one system run software from another.
IBM 5162, C128, IBM 5150, IBM 5153, IBM 5154, EGA cards (but only if I can get a monitor (pref 5154) with them).
Commodore x86 PCs, and/or their accessories (monitor, keyboard, mouse).
Expansion chassis for PC clones.
PCjr (complete system, preferably with post-chicklet keyboard or both keyboards).
Widescreen CRT monitor (Sony FW900, etc.).
ISA USB card if they exist (don't think they do).
3.5" disk drive, mouse, or HDD for C64.
"Big Blue Reader" for C64 (if I understand what it does properly, it basically lets ya read MS-DOS formatted floppies).
ROM chips for burning an XT-IDE (AT version) BIOS onto - bonus points if you burn the BIOS onto it first, but I could do it with my XT-IDE.

If you're dead set on pictures before you buy something - I will take them for you when you've expressed interest in a specific item. I just can't take pictures of everything right now. If there's still demand for pictures in a few days when the basement is sorted I will get pictures of all of the items up for grabs then.

Damn, if only I knew about being able to just solder pins onto a simm, or I wouldn't have gotten rid of all mine.

So... got any 256KB simms? Or any even chipped 1MB ones? I could try removing chips to get it down to 256KB. Yea, for a 286 motherboard.

I'll have to pass on the 2600 stuff unfortunately. I've run into the problem of having such a monolithic collection it's getting harder and harder to find stuff I don't have. :(

Tell you what though, there is no hurry as there is a local computer market this sunday coming where I am, and if I can find some memories there that will save you the effort of having to post just a few bits of memory.

Or any even chipped 1MB ones? I could try removing chips to get it down to 256KB. Yea, for a 286 motherboard.

That would not work. Almost all SIMMs uses only one bank of memory per module, and removing chips would make the bank incomplete.

I've come up with a standard scheme for pricing the IIci units:
Base Price (IIci w/ Cache Card) - $15
Added High Resolution Video Card - $10
Added 8-24GC Video Card - Make an offer, more than $10.
Added Network Card - $5

Do the math depending on what combo ya want.

It's pretty cheap, methinks. I have two 10base2/10base5 combo cards, one High Resolution graphics card, one 8-24GC graphics card (that one won't be $10, make an offer - it's a _lot_ nicer of a card), and five IIci units total.

I also have two IIsi units, but I *think* they might be missing their ROM SIMMs (probably stolen for a SE/30 at some point).

I've got a bunch of Mac LCIIs as well.

Ah, that's good - means the IIsi units should be fine.

Discovered that one of my IIci units is actually a IIcx, which is a tad older and considerably less common (apparently the IIci was one of the best selling units). Pricing holds, but unless they take the same RAM as a IIci I might have to sell you it with no RAM as it's empty right now.

Do you have any external CD drives with cable?
Don't need a burner, just a plain CD-ROM drive would be fine. -OR- Do you have the caddy for a old caddy based drive? I have a NEC external drive but no caddy. Also, a cable or adapter to go from HD50 to HD68.

(i am wanting to connect this to a SGI Octane which has the 68 pin port)

I have caddies, and I have plenty of external drives. I have one USB CD (burner I think) that only works on Win9x (and possibly lower, dunno, just definitely not Win7).

I do have an adapter cable as you describe, assuming you mean the newer small SCSI plug common on PCI SCSI cards to the big centronix one that's common on most SCSI external devices.

All of my external SCSI gear (except my ZIP drives, which are DB25 Mac-style) has the big centronix connector.

I have IDE and SCSI caddy drives with maybe 10 caddies total.

This computer doesn't have the big centronics style plug. It is the same type of plug as my drive but wider, with more pins. If you have a caddy and one of those cables, I'd be all set. ( on this page: http://www.scsita.org/aboutscsi/Pictures.html , my drive has the third connector while my computer has the fifth type.)

How much would that be?

I have a few things that use type 3 from that site, and a cable that goes from type 3 to the standard external SCSI centronix connector, but nothing that uses type 5.

I'd be happy to sell you a caddy and/or a drive, but I'm afraid I don't have any cable for that kind of connector.

As for price, PM an offer.

Also, I'd like to add an item up for sale - an Apple Portrait Display (the original grayscale one). Unfortunately I do not have a cable for this. I have two of them, one which I use and have a cable for, so I've made sure they both work back when I got them (a year or less ago). Make an offer, per usual.

Edit: Addendum to my earlier post mentioning I'm looking for a widescreen CRT..
I would be interested in any 19"+ CRT you have that's in good condition (i.e., no dimness, blur, etc.), but if you do happen to have a widescreen CRT, regardless of physical size (larger preferred), I'll let you walk away with a truck full of stuff for free if you let me have it - more than one truck full if you want.

I forgot to mention that I have a jillion external SCSI CD-ROM drives and external SCSI "boxes" most of which have HDDs in them but can take either an HDD or a CD-ROM (or any other 3.5"/5.25" SCSI device for that matter). I'll sell bare enclosures, or enclosures with stuff in them.

I happen to have pics of these from far back so I'll toss them up.

I forgot to mention that I have several of what I believe to be XT-IDE drives, i.e., 8-bit IDE. These are pretty rare, and I can't tell you whether they work or not. I have no reason to believe that they do not (they were working pulls some ten years ago) but I don't have a machine that uses 8-bit IDE left.
