486 PCI Motherboard w/ 586 133mhz Cpu and 8mb ram - $40 shipped

I noticed my Pre-rev 4 board has a circle also right near the switch headers, and it looks exactly like it's for a CR2032 battery. Strangely enough it's labeled "Battery" between the Dallas Chip and that circle, possibly for replacing a Dallas controller with one that lacks a battery and using a standard 2032 battery?

I have seen a few boards where the designer had spots for the old barrel type battery or a coin type depending what was cheaper when production started. Is there a spot for a diode next to the coin cell area?

I noticed a 'circle' on the PCB between the ISA slots and the jumper cluster - just north of the BIOS chip.
If you mean the plastic cover over the 2 pin jumper (j43) that doesn't stay on very well -- that's the CMOS reset switch. I believe the battery connector is the 4 pin CN1 which is over closer to the COM ports (CN1 is most always battery on shuttle boards), but don't quote me on that. Neither the manual nor tularc or any other source I can find actually documents adding a battery.

The Dallas in mine was flat, but running it for 24 hours it held after 8 hours powered off... still, I may end up adding a external just to be sure, since this really will only be powered up once or twice a week.

I wasn't referring to the plastic cover. I was referring the silkscreen circle directly behind U21.
