  • From now on we will require that a prefix is set for any items in the sales area. We have created regions and locations for this. We also require that you select a delivery option before posting your listing. This will hopefully help us streamline the things that get listed for sales here and help local people better advertise their items, especially for local only sales. New sales rules are also coming, so stay tuned.

$25 Computer Stuff, pick-up only, Arkansas

No doubt... there's never any deals like this local to me! laugh...

if someone from here picks it up and wants to send me a thank-you for a "finders fee," I wouldn't turn them down :)

More curious what those systems facing away from us are on that shelf. Certainly an interesting supply of Macs though, with the right bids and gas mileage seems like one could potentially get their money back.

The systems stacked behind the imacs on the "J" shelf? - those aren't computers (at least not traditional ones)... if you look on the topmost shelf, behind the printer/imacs, there is one where you can clearly see RCA inputs and two coaxial inputs. My money's on some form of industrial cable tv equipment, whether it's old professional VCRs or whatnot (we used to have dozens of them at my office... they got trashed before I could pull one to play with it)

That said, I wonder if the "list" in the auction is all-inclusive, or if one would have the pick of the "unlisted" items once one showed up? - either way, if I were there and loading up my truck, and saw something interesting that wasn't included but had multiples... I'd ask about one or snitch one ;)

*edit - DUH! I clicked other auctions... I was spot on with my guess on industrial vcr's - they seem to be liquidating a bunch of analog a/v equipment in addition to office/computer equipment. Here's a view of the "K" shelf...

Yeah I realized after posting that they were likely some video overlay gear or editing gear but some of the sides of the cases had me wondering. Thought for a sec I saw a large red power button which was my original curiosity and at the time I didn't see that specific shelf for auction. Looks like that one does have 1 $25 bid so far heh. 2 days and 10 hours to go. The computer one still has no bids but I'm sure that'll change. It's 500ish miles from me and I don't really have space for it, but even for a low price it'd cost me around 70 gallons of gas round trip which would be close to the value (well ok under probably but newish/obsolete and non-collectible Mac gear doesn't seem to unload quickly) of the gear itself. Now someone in Dallas or closer might be able to get a better deal out of it.

On the bright/interesting side, I bet if any auctions don't win and you show up you'd get to pick the rest or split it amongst the others. Probably some extra gear hiding for those ambitious enough and still have an empty garage.
