Hello all! Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Last night was trash night in my neighborhood and i saw a big box of old computer software put out by a neighbor, i didn't immediately grab it but this morning was worried it had not been taken and would end up in the landfill so i ran out and it was still there so i had to grab the box... here is a list of all the items ... at least what is labeled. I am a repurpose artist and want to make sure i'm not destroying anything either worth money or somehow collectable. If anyone has any kind of feedback on what i should or shouldnt destory by repurposing please let me know!!!
If the picture isn't working you can also find it on my site http://www.facebook.com/mygreenthriftylife

It's all worthless. Give it to me. :p

Nah, I really don't know. Most Mac software in the box can bring decent $ on eBay.

The games will bring some cash, but not as much as their PC counterparts. OS Software always sells, as do most manuals and whatnot (especially if you take advantage of ebay's free relisting if the items don't sell - at least I think that they still have that)

Alternately, you can post them on our VC Marketplace, pay no listing/final value fees, and take to advertising your sale on the various collector forums to drum up interest (here, AtariAge, and Vogons, among others)

Right, I don't think any gold mines there, but probably some that would sell for cheap and I don't think you'd be able to make much art out of them so probably worth more to sell or post on the VCGM (free to use/doesn't take a cut of your profits), or even gamegavel.com which is more software collectors but does take a small fee to post, then ebay which has the largest audience but also takes the most percent of your sale. Specifically I do hear folks like the Pirates game, x-wing is fun, Dark Forces is newer and quite fun if anyone has a Mac, then as already mentioned the OS disks are easy to find folks who need them. Either way, offer them up for a few bucks or something or just take offers if you're happy with karma and whatever ya get.

Thank you all for your information... i've decided to list most of the system disks, haven't decided on the venue as of yet. I looked up each of the games and for the most part they really don't go for much and the effort to list just seems a bit too much... decided to upcycle those (all but the star wars items which a friend claimed).

here is my first project :)

If you are just looking for disks to repurpose, you may want to offer to trade the game disks for other disks. Or list the game disks for sale as a lot.

X2! I have tons of blank floppies I'll give up for working Mac games.

The stuff that people throw away these days! That's a great haul even if some of it is mismatched. To me, the Star Wars games are excellent finds. Almost all of it can have a home with somebody here, if not all of it. Thanks for sharing that you found it, great haul you have there.

Do you still have the 7.0.1 disks or games for a early macs left? I own 2 macs and would love an original set of system 7! :D And I do have new packages of floppies I could trade. From 5.25 360kb 10 packs to 3.5" 1.44 25packs. Its a weird habbit, if I see new boxes at goodwill, garage sales etc I nab em! Dunno why either, already have enough to last a lifetime. Guess they are good for trading though, as they are getting harder to come by.
