Commodore books and magazines question

I was able to acquire a very large size Commodore collection basically for free. In the collection are a lot of books and magazines. The books vary in content but appear to be mostly programming. The magazines are complete runs of Ahoy, Run, Compute and a few others from 1982-1992. Question is any if this collectible or of use? Normally I would have passes on them but it was an all or nothing thing.

I'd get in touch with the guy from bombjack.org, and see if you have anything he doesn't. It looks like his Compute and Run archive is complete, but he needs Ahoy 62 if you have it.

Other than getting unpreserved issues scanned, I'm not sure there's much value to old literature. It's certainly fun to pick up and flip through, but I wouldn't spend any money on it. But it's definitely worth taking inventory to see if you have something unique.

I agree, definitely look to see if you have anything missing from Bombjack. We may not have a lot of time left to get some of this stuff archived.

The trouble with books and magazines is that they take a ton of space, space that most people would prefer to dedicate to software boxes, or more hardware. I enjoy picking up an old magazine from time to time (I still have most of mine), but, speaking only for myself of course, I'm definitely not looking to acquire any more.
