Hey Guys,
I know this question is a little off the beaten path, but I didn't know where else to go. I'm looking at buying a Sawtooth G4 400 Mhz for $20, but it only includes the tower and power cable. I don't have any Apple USB keyboards or mice. I'm wondering, would a Logitech PC keyboard work in a pinch until I could get an Apple one? I would think any basic wired USB mouse would work, but the keyboard has me a little concerned.

What do you guys think? Here's the specs of the system from the ad:

OSX 10.4 Tiger
AGP graphics
400MHz
768mb ram
20gb hard drive
DVD/rom drive

Any info you could provide would be great.

Thanks!
Jon

I'll second the above; the only quirky thing will be that the command and option keys will generally be "switched" from their normal position (which mostly only matters if you're used to using Mac keyboards). I'll be glad to send you one for the cost of postage, since I have a few and really hate post-'90s Apple keyboards.

Apple USB G3/G4 era keyboards are mushy anyway, nothing like the extended keyboards of the 68K era. The early Apple USB keyboards have the power on button fuction (imacs) and later models dropped that an added the sound control and CD Eject buttons. Microsoft mice have Apple drives.

I have personally used a really cheap USB mouse & keyboard combo that were meant for a PC, mentioning nothing about Macs, with that exact model, and had absolutely no problem.
