Does anyone have a Brain Board for sell?

Not a helpful comment I'm sure, but I would say that if someone wanted to run off some more boards I'd totally buy one myself.

I talked to Mike Willegal, the guy who makes them, and he said if he could secure 15 orders he would make them. I know between u and me that's 2. Please ask around and see who else would be interested in them!

Hi, is there an indication of price please?

I just got an email and mike said he thinks he can keep them around $59!

smashing! we'd like to buy 4 please. all to one address in the Uk... myself plus 3 other owners would like to jump at this.. for use in 3 x NTSC apple iie's and 1 x pal europlus.. and happy to send funds whenever suits.

THANKS to all !:)

For $59 I could commit, sure. (I'd want to be able to use mine to switch between Integer and Applesoft on a potentially ROM-less ][plus board; Interested in running Integer on a cassette only system for difficult to explain reasons.)

I actually have a brain board setup to switch between AppleSoft, Integer basic and wozPack (Apple-1). All you need to do is not use Mike's included switch and wire up a special switch setup. Mine has one switch to turn the brain board on/off and one to select brain board bank. I mounted the switches on a piece of plexiglass scrap with some little rubber feet and now my II plus can act like a II+, II or an Apple-1

What I sort of want it for is I have a spare ][plus board that's been around the block a few too many times. (Among other indignities it had its original power connector removed and the power supply for an oddball clone soldered to it in its place.) I've been sort of thinking it might be amusing to screw it into a homemade case with a salvaged keyboard (I have one from a terminal I think I might be able to convince to work) and pretend it's what someone might have if they took Apple up on their trade-in offer to get a bare Apple II board in trade for their Apple I. I'd never do it with a real Rev. 0 ][ board, obviously; it's about recreating the play experience on the cheap, not making a replica that would fool anybody. Again, mostly want it for Apple II cassette Integer basic, but having the Woznium pack might be a bonus.

Ok guys, including myself, I have had 10 people interested!! Well 10 orders. We r so close. Email anyone you might know of post a link on other forums. Thank you so much. I feel we r very close!

I've toyed with the same idea, but my only Apple II is a //e that I won't be gutting any time soon.
Mike Willegal sells reproduction Rev 0. ][ Boards too, if you ever want to go the "looks legit but isn't" route.

Yeah, I just sort of figure the only major visual difference between the early boards and the early-vintage II Plus boards is the jumpers to allow you to use 4k or 16k DRAM so using the beat-up old dog I have makes a lot more financial sense. Pretty unlikely anyone I'd show it to would know the difference. ;)

(It is at least one of the older boards that doesn't scream super-prominently that it was made in Singapore.)

I just posted links to this thread on a couple other forums that might be likely candidates. Keep your fingers crossed.
