Looking for *.MOD files that came with the Sound Blaster 1989 (8-bit, ISA)

Hello everyone,

you know this feeling, when you want to desperately find something, but there's no clue whatsoever..

I'm looking for the MOD-Tracker and the accompanying modules (.MOD files) that came with the first Sound Blaster cards in 1989 or 1990. I liked one of these modules so much, I'm getting wet eyes even thinking about it.. ;)

The only thing I know for sure, is that the files came on 5,25" floppy disks with 360 KB each (because my XT back then had this kind of drive built in).

One of the disks contained three or four (maybe some more) .MOD files, with names I can't recall. Additionally, there was some player executable that could play these files. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was a player only - no tracker functionality. The usual four channels, pretty impressive sound back then...

I've scourged the Vogons Vintage Driver Disks for the Soundblaster cards, but there are no MOD-Files.

Can anybody help me?
 
Do you know if it came in any of these disks? I got the disk but my 5,25" drive decided to stop working as I was checking the content.

DaCiRo, wow! You have that working right now and filmed that player for me? :D Thanks a lot! Unfortunately, that's not the player (nor the sound) I'm looking for. It's definitely been tracked music made from samples, not the Adlib synth.
 
I think my Sound Blaster Pro 2.0 came with some tracked music/demo stuff. Perhaps you could check those disks online?
 
I hope you can find it, I will keep an eye on this post as I am too interested now to see what it is :).

They had their own JMS music format, which was a PC-ified version of the Amiga MOD format.
One of the earliest stuff I heard on my SB Pro was some of these modules, which I believe were included with my Sound Blaster Pro. But not 100% sure. I could have downloaded them myself from the Sound Blaster BBS (also hosted by UltraForce members).
 
I remember using Trakblaster many years ago to play MOD files....... probably still have a copy of that and some MODs around here.
 
The SB Pro which I bought sometime between 1991 and 1993 definitely did not come with any MOD files or tracker program. I remember being over the moon when the PAS16 I upgraded to around 1993 came with a bunch.
 
Most PC sound cards of the era came with MIDI files. The Sound Blaster also included Creative Labs' own proprietary song files and players, such as CMF (Creative Music File).

In 1989, MOD files were just catching on in the Amiga scene, and hadn't really become popular on PCs yet.
 
I'm pretty sure the original sound blaster did NOT come with a mod player, at least not here in Germany (And the software was actually in English back in the days). I remember how exited we had been when a friend got his sound blaster and the most interesting programs were the Parrot, text-to-speech program and the voice recorder. And yeah first time i heard mods was on an Amiga 500 - back then I didn't even know that programs for the PC exist.
 
Creative Labs published and distributed Bram Graveland's, "Tetra Compositor" PC tracker in the early 1990s, and did include a playback-only demonstration version with a number of Sound Blaster (Pro) cards. Any chance its included MOD files are those in question?

 
I'm 100% certain the original SB did not come with .MOD files or a player. It came with Dr.Sbaitso and a few other demo utilities. The only software I can think of that had .MODs was the original GUS which came with JIMI.MOD and NOWHAT3.MOD and a simple player.
