Hi all, after a succesful raid removing tantalum caps, I have a beautiful 5155 working, but I'm afraid that the psu is dead. I use an AT psu and it'seems ok, but I prefer to fix the original psu.

I'm not an expert in electronics, just try to read and learn.. so I want to ask you a couple of questions...

1. The psu try to start, but there's a little click almost immediately and then stop. There's no evident exploded caps, nor trivial damage. How can I start?...
2. Do you know the name of the power type of connector of the inner monitor?

Thank you!!!

I had similar cases in a few SMPSUs. It tries to start but decides that the power consumed is to high and then turns off. In one case a secondary side output rectifier was short circuit and in the other the over voltage protection had triggered due to uneven loading of the PSU. So check the output rectifiers and put som minimal load on all outputs.
