Ok, removed the badge and did a light cleaning on the case. Looking much better.
Any idea where I can buy a new badge? The only one I have found is https://corei64.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=300, which is ~$45 including shipping.
I tried loading the wedge and then loading the d64 file:
I tried loading the d64 directly without the wedge:
It just hangs. I emailed bitfixer and got this response so I am hopeful:
Hmm, not sure what I'm doing wrong here.
I loaded the wedge first. Is this required?
I don't get any lowercase characters. Is this normal?
I've renamed the file to just petrobots.d64. I tried `load "$: PETROBOTS.D64", 8` but no luck.
Hello,
I'm trying to run the shareware version of Petscii robots from https://www.the8bitguy.com/25753/petscii-robot-shareware-available/. My PET 4032 says it is running basic 4.0. When I try to load the game from PETdisk, it hangs forever. I tried another .d64 demo for the PET and it would not...
Follow up question. The glass CRT screen has some sort of spotted gunk on it. I've heard to use Windex and also never use Windex. The gunk is pretty stubborn. I tried removing it with a plastic edge but no effect. Any idea?
I got my PET up and running with help from others. Now it's time to clean it. I've watched some youtube videos about cleaning (Magic Eraser, baking soda on tough spots but don't remove the paint). The badge is pretty worn around the edges. Should I try to remove it and get a new one? What is the...
The cassette port works, not sure about the user port and IEEE488 port. I fixed the keyboard today after watching Chuck's video. Still need to verify all keys work.
How do I test the ports using BASIC?
My PET lives! A local expert used his Tynemouth board to narrow down the issue to the first bank of DRAM. Unfortunately, all of the DRAM tests passed (not sure why). So we decided to replace each odd-numbered 4116 DRAM chip until we came to the faulty chip. I remember @daver2 mentioning that...
Ok, I switched to capture off source channel 2 and tried pin 6/14. Unfortunately, the waveforms are vary messy for pin 14. I had to make a movie of it. Any idea how to compare this to pin 6?
