    Unknown 1802-Based System

Regarding those call and return routines, were you aware of the convention used at The Labs?

CPU family tree - help needed

Yeah, it's a dedicated microcontroller, not a "microcontroller variant" of something else. That's why I said that, in your shoes, I wouldn't include it, and I only brought it up because you mentioned use in keyboards specifically.

CPU family tree - help needed

I'll look for it. I realized after I posted that the Pro300 line used the F11 and J11 processors, which are versions of PDP-11s, but not the same as the LSI-11. I'll send whatever I can find. When you say "microcontroller versions", do you exclusively mean variants of general purpose...

CPU family tree - help needed

Since you haven't responded to this: I wonder whether you just haven't got to it, or don't intend to. No, I'm not complaining. The one part of it I really do wonder about is the duplicated Zilog processors. Is there a reason you want that? If so, please educate me.

    Unknown 1802-Based System

Hi. I'm new to the forum here, but I cut my teeth on 1802 coding. (I'm super duper rusty). The following statement intrigued me: Those call and return routines are similar to what was commonly used inside RCA labs, typically using R4 and R5, plus R6 as a link register. Are you familiar with...

    Hello from Upstate New York

This is my third message, so I guess I'm late introducing myself. Vintage computers for me are nostalgic, as I don't do anything with them. I did, back when they weren't vintage yet. And I might still, if I had lots more time on my hands not already filled by work and a couple of other...

CPU family tree - help needed

You've got the Z800 and Z280 in there twice. Is there a reason, or is it a simple mistake? You don't have RCA's COSMAC processors, the 1801 and 1802. The 1802 has some notability for its use in the Elf design, the VIP (OK, maybe that one's not so notable) and the Studio 2 game console. Also...

    Pricing a KIM-4

This looks like a fun forum to visit now and then, but I did sign up for a specific reason. I have a KIM-4 expansion backplane (and a KIM-1 to go with) it that I'm interested in selling. That might mean eBay, right here, a VCF swap meet, or somewhere else. But the first step is to get a...
