Are you wanting physical disks or just disk images? If you want physical disks eBay would be your best bet. If you want disk images there are several Apple II sites around the web. Here's 32MB disk image that has 35 Infocom games. They were all simply text afventures...
Had a response from softwarejanitor on Applefritter to the same effect about opening up the drive and cleaning. Will let the OP know about checking the drive speed with Locksmith 6.

As I mentioned earlier I guess I'm just lucky. I've had my ROM 01 for over ten years, I think, and have never had any sort of ticking noise in all that time. I've been running GS/OS, 6.0.1 to 6.0.4, since I got it.
Maybe I'm just lucky then, because I don't have either of these problems with ny ROM 01 GS. In fact I've added a Byte Boosters DarkSound card to the ROM 01. I'm sorry you're having trouble. Maybe you should see the ROM 01 and buy a ROM 03.
