Commodore - Lets talk about The New Zombie on the block.

In my personal view, Commodore died in 1994 as did the product line that they produced. Nothing will resurrect THAT Commodore ever. I didn't watch the first video and won't watch the second one either because it's a waste of time.

Simplest way to get an old dialup internet appliance online

Have you had any luck getting any content? For my Telidon/NAPLPS/Videotex devices, I've been using the Viking DLE-200B myself. It's just easy and I can connect two modems together, if the device doesn't have a serial connection. Stuff like the AlexTEL terminal work great with it and it...

Did something change in Ebay's Global Shipping Program?

It is different now. The item you are showing has two shipping options. 1st option is to pre-pay duties and taxes. 2nd is to pay duties and taxes after. ALWAYS choose the first option if you have the choice or you will be paying higher shipping fees plus a ransom when DHL clears customs for...

California Sol 20.Gary's Ingrams entire personal computer and floppy disks

It definitely belongs in a museum, perhaps the Computer History Museum as Gary Ingram was one of the founders of Processor Technology (I assume it's the same Gary Ingram)? I'd personally love to see pictures. I would guess his might be quite early in production or perhaps pre-production. I am...

    Mindset schematics

Just as a follow up, I was able to recreate the SASI card and got a hard drive system working as I was fortunate enough to find a Mindset hard drive. Unfortunately, the hard drive had a misaligned head but I was lucky enough to find the source code for the low level hard drive format utility on...

    Sony SMC-210DL6 (M35) any information?

I have heard this is a prison monitor because of the transparency but I have my doubts because it has speakers. Prison monitors usually only have a headphone jack, and this one does have one also. It's just a very versatile monitor because it has RF, composite, VGA and HDMI so I use it for my...

    Sony SMC-210DL6 (M35) any information?

That's my Sony M35 but sadly, I didn't get any software with it. That said, it seems to be very IBM compatible. The rear metal plate that has the Sony and M35 emblems comes off and looks like it has the connectivity for a monitor basically making it the SMC-210 without the monitor.

Cartridge checksum issue. Decompile x86 code?

I sorted this out. First off, I switched to Python because I am not an Assembler programmer. I did IBM 370 Assembler in school a long time ago and barely made it out. The thing I was doing wrong was including the last two bytes that help the checksum. So for example, if the file was 8k in...

Cartridge checksum issue. Decompile x86 code?

I have a Mindset cartridge that is required for a hard disk system. I've edited the EPROMs within because the cartridge has hard drive geometry data on it and I needed different geometry for a Seagate ST-225 hard drive. I can use the cartridge with only one issue. On start up it says "Bad...

    TI-99/4 Color Monitor

I'd be curious to see the whole where the dial is. Does it look home cut? It's possible the monitor was modified to put a dial back onto the rotary switch that might have been covered up as the monitor was originally a TV? I don't know a lot about these monitors and have struck out finding...

C= Pong? Commodore 2000K 'Pong' console (video)

I've got a MOS 7600-001 and am happy to have found this as I didn't know what it was used in. This one has never been used and is in it's original chip carrier. Slightly earlier date thank yours @ClassicHasClass. Got it from someone who worked at MOS.

    Z8000 board for IBM PC

Do you have a link to Trump2.zip? I think the Dropbox link is only for the first disk. I don't have a Trump card but if I ever find one, I'll have the software. Thanks.

    Protecto-80 cartridge for the VIC-20

@CommodoreZ Sorry I didn't see this post earlier. The ROM you used is not the same as the original I have, at least. Have a look here for dumps I made: https://vintagecomputer.ca/files/Commodore/Protecto 80/Protecto 80 Data 20 ROMs.zip I also put some sockets in (plus the missing SW1...

Hard disk Driver Card WD1002A-WX1 Without Bios

Thank you for the instructions. I didn't know how to do that. I can confirm that the 62-000094-002 and 62-000094-032 are identical. I wonder why they changed the markings? Anyway, sorry for the confusion but I learned a lot so I appreciate it.

Hard disk Driver Card WD1002A-WX1 Without Bios

I can confirm my original 62-000094-002 ROM works as I fdisked and formatted a Seagate ST-225 with it. I also didn't have any issues running the formatter accessed via DEBUG by entering g=c800:5. At least I know it works and I will stick with the original 002 version now so I don't lose the...
