    PET 2001 Sound

I'm using a PET2SD Future SD card solution and didn't want to cut apart the tape drive connector to pull 5V. So, I ended up building the no power piezo solution. It uses 3 components as described above: * 22 ohm resistor (note minor difference from 20 ohm stated previously) * 0.47uF capacitor *...

    PET 2001 Sound

Thanks for all the input. If I understand everything correctly, then the updated circuit is as follows: Does this look right?

Hi Dave, Please excuse my sloppy freehand circuit drawing. Are you suggesting something like this?

    PET 2001 Sound

Hi, I've found a number of suggestions for how to get sound out of my PET 2001-8. The easiest one I found on this VCFed archive. Here's a quick look at the suggested circuit: PET User Port CB2 line -----> 20 ohm resistor ------> (+) PIEZO BUZZER (-) ---------> PET User Port GROUND The...

Missing keys on Commodore PET keyboard

Hi, The first computer I ever used was a PET. It was in 3rd grade. My teacher bought it with his own money and brought it to school. I've been looking to get a PET for quite a while & I often find them on eBay with missing keyboard keys. Any chance that these are something that can be 3D...

WTB: CoCo 3 (Tandy Color Computer 3)

Hi all, Several months ago a friend showed me his CoCo3. Dungeons of Daggorath was what won me over. Since then I've started collecting CoCo hardware (Multipak, floppy interface, floppy drive, joysticks) and software (Dungeons of Daggorath, Canyon Climber, Project Nebula, and several others) in...

    XTIDE tech support thread

I was able to upgrade the card to a 32KB EEPROM (AT28C256): * Read the BIOS off of the 8KB EEPROM using a GQ-4X EPROM programmer * Enlarged the 8KB file to 32KB, filling the extra bytes with 0x00 * Wrote the BIOS to the 32KB EEPROM * Popped it into the slot on the card & off to the races :)...

XT-IDE V2, Assembled and verified working

Hi Andrew, I received the board. Unfortunately, the bubble wrap envelope was not enough protection to prevent this: Do you suggest I try to bend the pins straight? I would hate to break any of them.

    XT-IDE Tutorial?

I've been fixing up a Tandy 1000 TL & I stumbled upon XT-IDE. I read that I could use an ISA Ethernet card with an option ROM slot to use the XT-IDE universal BIOS to access large IDE drives. I've done a bit of reading about the various XT-IDE ISA hardware devices, looked at the Google code site...

I just bought a Tandy 1000 TL. I need a keyboard for it & an IBM Model F (I'm told) fits the bill. I'm located in the San Francisco bay area of California. Thanks :D
