It's not the most inovative idea today, but anyhow:
For a recent Vintage Computer Convention I set up an ASR-33 teletype to be operated with connection to chatGPT AI application.
Visitors could enter questions via keyboard of course, but also punch them on paper tape and read them back later.

Key was project "tty2pi", which made the "20mA to RS232" conversion and incorporated an Raspberry Pi Zero W.
A Phyton program there made the connection to https://chat.openai.com/ .

So if you like it .... use it!

Joerg: very neat :)!

I am (hopefully) picking up a couple of Data Dynamics ZIP ASR machines in a couple of weeks (https://www.computinghistory.org.uk/det/19568/Data Dynamics ZIP Family/).

I also found a couple of current loop to RS232 converters in a drawer. Win-win!

They were both returned from repair (back in the 1980s) and are still in their packaging... They are darn heavy though! I will have a look around for the documentation whilst I am there...
