A very good point. I was just assuming that he owns a disk drive (of some quality) since he mentioned it was working until he moved it a couple of meters. Regardless, doesn't sound like it should take too much to get it back up and running again. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Try cleaning the edge connector where the ribbon cable from the TRS-80 joins the expansion interface (both sides if necessary but start with the edge connector that you disconnected when moving it). I use an alcohol wipe (IPA) or DeoxIt when needed and have also used a soft non-abrasive eraser...

A little further investigation appears to reveal that Games Pack 1 (Big 5 / Tandy) didn't exist because the name would be too similar to their earlier level 1 Games Pack 1 (they may have underestimated us). However, I have Games Pack 2 (dual) and three does appear to be out there...

Hi My Model 4 has developed a fault where the screen grow and shrink very slightly, much like the old power supply / disk access issue. However, the disks are not spinning and a new power supply built by Jay Newirth has been installed. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Any tested formats would be welcomed. I'll try configuring for LS-DOS 6.3.1 using the settings above on my 4D. I guess the Model 3 and 1 will wait a while :) Kind regards John
