For anyone reading this in the future - after looking at the schematic and what it was doing in-circuit I figured a 2N3055 would work in its place, and indeed it does now work fine replacing the 171-1 transistors :)

I found the info I needed to use it from other DFI manuals on minuszerodegrees.net, for the MG-150 videocard it uses, and other IO cards that are just integrated all into one here.

hi all, Found this weird ISA card recently, dates to around 1990. I wondered if anyone had the software for this - I understand its an on-the-fly disk compression system which sounds rather nifty. Also seems like it works for Dos 3.3 or thereabouts. Any help appreciated!

While i was copying the driver disk for another card, this one was next to it, so i figured i had better copy the contents over too. No idea what the card is/was/looked like though. Hopefully of use to someone, has RTC utilities and a spool thing.

Excellent. Oh and here's some photos of the JE1071 card I just found (the card is now gone though) this was used in a BBS, and the previous owner added the additional serial UART chips etc.
