    286 ELT-286B-1000-SM (Chaintech?)

Well, going through my archives, I do have Schoolview and NDO 98. Ofc, I got the NDO 98 from a former employee of GlobalPC and it's 700 MB of programs and documents from GlobalPC, memos, etc. pretty cool stuff). Schoolview is really messed up, it requires ICLAS and virtual machines to run. So...

Ergo 4.0 from Hungarian Magazine Alaplap

In the July 1992 issue of Alaplap, there is a screen capture of a X-Motif DOS shell program called Ergo 4.0. Since I can't read Hungarian and Google translate does not mention Ergo 4.0 in that issue, I have been doing searches but nothing is showing up. Does anyone remember this program?

ATM, Winworld doesn't have Schoolview, Quickstart, or older versions of NDO. I purchased Breadbox earlier, but I have three versions of Breadbox: 4.0.2.1, 4.1.2, and 4.1.3. Geos is like a drug, I can't have too much :D :D :D

    Greetings

I mean it's actual product name was "Tandy 1000-PC". Wal-Mart has always had a policy of exclusivity, so they try to get items not available elsewhere. So I believe it was a rebranded Tandy but my memory fades on specs. edit- Found it...

    Greetings

Yea, my first "PC" was a Wal-Mart special, a Tandy 1000 "PC" (I still cannot find any information on it). I did own a CoCo for a while before then.

    Greetings

While I understand not being able to do the things we can do now without newer computers, I just don't see them as magical as they was when they was "new"

Any1 have the Tandy Personal Deskmate SDK?

Lol, sorry I forgot to post a link. I've been on that site for days now. Just uploaded Rightwriter 3.2 for Deskmate a few days ago. I found some people that had a couple of more lost programs and now waiting for them to get back to me.

    286 ELT-286B-1000-SM (Chaintech?)

I remember saving my money to purchase DR DOS 6 when it first came out. Also purchased the GEOS 2.0 SDK the moment it was released (still have it on CD somewhere). Thank goodness for BBSs and AOL or I wouldn't have had anyone to discuss GEOS with. I still collect GEOS stuff. I have a Google...

Congratz on the mobo find. I cry about all the recycled components I sent to be melted down for gold.

    Your first Atari, and last?

I was a wee lad and my dad brought home an Atari 2600 and I've been in love with Atari ever since.

Any1 have the Tandy Personal Deskmate SDK?

From what I can recall, I do not believe a public one was released (or it wasn't wide-spread). There was an SDK written for Deskmate 3 and is available on TV-Dog.

I remember the first time I saw them and was so enthralled with their SciFi look.
