    AlphaMicro Systems AM1000, AM1200, & maybe AM100L drive replacement

What I am really looking for is AM doc showing which of the am1200, am1203, and am1213 ports should map to what connectors on the back I'm speculating my am1200 has a few faults - wouldn't be surprising on a $200 ebay find! This has nothing to do with VAM - no reason it needs to match the old...

    AlphaMicro Systems AM1000, AM1200, & maybe AM100L drive replacement

Interesting. My copy from a 2.1 system looks the same. But I thought 1.3c was the first with an1200 stuff.

    AlphaMicro Systems AM1000, AM1200, & maybe AM100L drive replacement

Another update: slow progress since my last update. The boot gets thru the full amosl.ini but only using pseudo/null in the trmdef's. My am300 port from the wd16 version is broke; I've decided to spend my time building support for the 6850 ports on the am1200 instead of pounding my head on the...

VAM/L - aka 68000 version of VAM for AMOS/L Quick update for those of you interested in this project. I'm back in Alaska after a great winter in Florida. Have resumed work on VAM/L. Finished the "Tom Harte JSON" testing I was working on last fall, VAM/L now correctly runs (in standard 68k...

    AlphaMicro Systems AM1000, AM1200, & maybe AM100L drive replacement

I had thought my old am1000 image was 1.0x but from what I've recently found it MAY be much newer (1.3x?). At least that's what dir/v implies. But it is early enough it does not have SSD "support", nor the power on copyright notice.

    AlphaMicro Systems AM1000, AM1200, & maybe AM100L drive replacement

For what its worth, I've just posted a new version (1.2) of VAM with support for multi-logical containers. The DL (http://kicksfortso.com/am100tgz/distro.tgz) also has the amos 4.6 & amos 5.0 images). Also has a bunch of utilities for dealing with those images (vdkshow, vdkcopy, vdkclear...

2nd reply - just realized you were asking about AMOS (not L) images mounted in a sub. I've AMOS 4.6, 5.0 and Alpha Accounting (& some of my other wd16 stuff) from VAM setup on a zuluscsi sd image & it works fine as amosl subsys.

    AlphaMicro Systems AM1000, AM1200, & maybe AM100L drive replacement

Replying to my own post! Replaced the noisy old fan with this drip in https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009OXTWZI?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share 28 db job. Keeps case (wo old HD!) nice & cool, almost inaudible. On another note - does anyone have source (.m68) for a non-interrupt (clock queue) Idv? I seem to...

    AlphaMicro Systems AM1000, AM1200, & maybe AM100L drive replacement

I've a 1.0b system from my 80's am1000. Been firing it up on the am1200. Will let you know when I have a good image available. The 1200 is 1.3c, which, based on a amos.dir[1,2] file I found on it seems missing the [7,7] .m68's for the .unv's; also the whole [10,1] ppn and much of the [10,2] ppn...
