Kaypro 1 (81-809) it has advent turbo rom currently had a dead u16 which I replaced r6545eap. and the character rom was dead. which I replaced with a eprom m27c64a with rom 81-235. I now have the the boot screen 4 times across the screen...not very clear either i hope it's not one of these...

crap in need the dip switch settings..its different then the z180...and I cant find z181 manual

ya, I was trying to boot it with a gotek as ..but it seems to start to boot but then it goes looking for files on a drive. guess I would need modify the boot dish.

Does as anyone have the boot disk from winworld its gone..for the zfl 181.

clocks look good and the is activity..on the z80a cpu.

oh the kaypro 1 has video controller chip..it has data going in..but nothing is coming out.. I hope its that chip because it has 3 custom array chips by kaypro.

I'm actually using the kaypro 4 chassis..since I know the monitor and power supply are good...there is no signals on the lines... I

has turbo rom 3.4 on it. anyways, i have data coming into the video chip but nothing coming out.. everything else looks like its running. maybe it doesn't access the disk when i turn it on, but i can't tell because no video is coming out. when i pull the video chip i get a raster on the screen...

Could someone make an img file that will run in a kaypro 4. for the kaypro diag tool found. here http://www.retroarchive.org/maslin/disks/kaypro/kp4diag.zip. I can't create or munipulate disks but i can load them with my gotek.

does your board need a video signal/ or h/v sync signals before it produces high voltage?

Hi, how did you get a schematic for this board? I have dm30-09bd(09BO?)-404-c42 out of a kaypro 1,1986.. it has no high voltage..so far.. just filament..and I'm not analog troubleshooter. that looks like a real scehmatic..so maybe you can tell me a source? Do these boards turn on without video...
