No its working correct, vgbexe is the way to do it. If you run the small monitor version you can run things without the extra step, you lose out on some ram but most rt-11 programs dont need that much anyway.

Possible someone has created something already, did you try searching for "free small business inventory program" or something similar?

we all got lucky on those kdj11 boards recently but i hear at least 1 guy got stuck with a broken one.. its usually better to buy something tested. Those 512k RAM boards that are pretty common no need to gamble.

If the one you got works then I wouldn't worry about it, cheap RAM boards on ebay can be a dice roll

You could also get yourself a PiDP-11 kit (uses a raspberry pi), or if you dont care about a front panel an 11/73 can be built relatively cheap using ebay parts.

I found a guide online by vaxman.de, i will try an redo everything based on this see what happens. I doubt it will change anythign with the Terminal and most likely i will have to hunt down export TERM somewhere, but im sure it will fix whatever i botched in the setup.
