I was going to play around with sshdos and when I went to run it I got a message saying "no packet driver found". I was afraid this might be a problem. I did some googling and haven't had any luck finding it. Does anyone have it or know where I could download it?

Did you check out www.crynwr.com? That is the 'home' of the DOS packet driver. I didn't see that chipset listed right away, but the existing 3c509 driver might work, and there are other directories for drivers that I did not look in.

Well, with the one on the 3com site I put the 3c589pd.com file in c:\ then edited the autoexec.bat to load it on boot and I ended up getting a windows protection fault error.

Why are you trying to use a DOS packet driver in Windows?

That's a no-no .. Windows has it's own APIs for managing networking hardware, and the packet driver is dying because it is trying to touch hardware that Windows considers to be critical/privileged.

Yup, it's a ssh client for dos. I was trying to run it only booted into dos and not windows 95. I've been wanting to get arachne on it too and eventually use it as a dos only machine if I can get the nic setup properly for it.
