Ontario 486 Chip removal tool

Just file/sand the bottom edge of a expansion slot (isa or pci)blanking plate narrower and use that. Pend that end more if needed. Works a treat.

Expansion slot plates are handy for making tools like that. ROM/PROM removers and the like. Use them on my Acorn stuff for removing RiscOS roms.

Unless I was a collector, I don't think I'd be giving $25 for "genuine" Intel 486 removal tool. I've been putting them in and taking them out since their inception and never had a problem.
 
I always used the flat edge of a butter knife but that's me lol. Still use this bent butter knife almost 30 years later. Got it at Goodwill for 20 cents.
